HEY! STATUS CODE 80169d94!
This is just a target for a shot in the dark for anyone who can't upgrade their silver membership to a gold, or cant buy microsoft points. My 3-mo. expired, and it reverted to a silver, and when i tried to re-buy, it gave me a "Cant retrieve info from Xbox live. Please try again later. Status code 80169d94" This particular code is for fraud alert, apparently. ALL your info has to sync up, now, it would seem. I put in a fake name and phone number in one of the websites - Windows Live ID, had an old address on a second, and had my real address on my billing info.
So to fix this turd of a problem they've decided we're going to have, you have to fix all your info, then call 18004MYXBOX, where they will give you the runaround about your connection and ISP in some weird, vaguely unplaceable accent, placing you on hold every few minutes to distract you. DON'T TAKE IT!!! Tell them your connection is fine and you need them to check if your account has been frozen due to a fraud alert. Whenever you get transferred between departments, ask them to "escalate" (key word) your call to a "tier 2" employee. These "tier 2" employees are easier to understand, which you will be grateful for, at this point. And, they may be used to this problem by now, so just make sure everything online and in your 360 hard drive matches whats on your card and mailbox, and make sure you have an hour to spare for the call.
