normally I would mutter under my breath about this thread being posted before, do a search, blah blah blah, but since I just got a nice new system I'm quite content to share my settings..

1280x1024 maxed out.
capped at 60 fps / vsync on otherwise i get tearing.

and when i play on my parents 40" bravia (not often), its 1280x760 with the FOV increased quite a bit.
hohoho.

yeah, that's next on the list.... Thinking about the 22" samsung but not thrilled about the panel lottery. I tend to watch a lot of movies on my computer as well so backlight bleed is also a big factor, and the 22ers seems to have a lot of that. 20" would be alright but not a huge step up in terms of size coming from this 17". And the 24ers with their massive native res and much higher prices are a whole new can o worms. I'll probably just wait until some different 22's are available and go from there...

well staticx 200-300 frames per second, that surely helps since human eyes only render around 30 frames per second anyway

Most of the PC issues posted here are the result of PEBKAC.

I usually play at 1280x1024. Oftentimes that'll look strange and I'll switch to 1280x960. I go to 1024x768 when I turn AF on.

the only 22" dell is the E228WFP which is nothing to write home about: bad banding and backlight bleed. no thanks
the rev A04 of the 2407FPW would be fantastic (almost all I-SPS panels now) but you need some serious hardware to run games at the native 1920x1200... would probably mean an vid card upgrade + 750$ for the actual monitor. a little steep. i do like like everything else about the monitor though... inputs, bezel, everything else looks great. companies need to start producing more 22" panels... preferably not of the TN variety.

maybe i'll pick up the sammy and see how it is... i can always return it...

~DRA~Nessy's Monitor

Looks alright.. an overwhelming number of positive reviews, but... no dvi port?? This seems very strange... especially for a newer monitor.
My current monitor (samsung 173s - old) has only vga and although I am not dissatisfied with the quality, everybody says digital is the way to go, so I'd at least like to have that option. Do you watch movies on that? How's the backlight bleed?

Thanks for the link ... always nice to see what else is out there.
