The person who said Bungie.net doesn't record IP addresses is wrong. All websites have a log for every person who visited that site, Achronos himself said in another thread that no one is ever anonymous.

These things are generally not connected to any personally identifiable data
I added the bold and italics for emphasis. I was speaking in general terms about systems that analyze visitor data for the purpose of improving the visitor's experience. When Achronos said "No one is anonymous", it was in the context of people misusing the forums. IP addresses and the like can be collected, and most likely are. There is nothing illegal about it, "user agreement" or not (The fact that I instructed my browser to download content from Bungie.net is an implicit agreement in itself, imo). The point I was trying to make is that this data is collected with the intention to improve user experience (Whether it's by determining what types of browsers we're using, or it's keeping track of IP addresses of people who are doing naughty things). That said, I have no idea what data is collected here or at any other website. I don't really care unless I start getting a lot of spam or someone blows up my computer.
Also twinklemaker...
Hehe: twinklemaker. I like that better than twinkiemaker. ;)
