MAybe there will be a lot of players in the USA but not in Europe.
And games like Crysis,Bioschok Brothers in Arms 3,Unreal Tournament 3 will publish soon too.
Lets hope:)

some ppl saidthere are still about 1000 players online at any given time . lWhich Version? patch 1.07 there are about 5servers with 20-30 players lawl + ping sucks rly hard

Well I can't play Halo anymore as I broke my CD, so I can't tell ya how many servers I see, but I do know that as of two months ago, the average was about 1k users.

And gaming leagues are not a good indicator of a games longetivity or popularity, some games are just easier to distinguish individual skill than others.

Yes if you have the right patch and take off all the filters you should see over 600 servers and between 1000 and 2000 players playing.

Competitive leagues for HaloPC have all shut down save for KlanWars. There is already planning going on to start up leagues on TWL and CAL. I guess it depends on how popular H2V is in Europe to see if Clanbase and other Euro based leagues pick it up.

Lormex, I dont think you know what your talkin about tbh...

ESL was just a unpopular league for starters and pretty much no one plays in that league

Each Clanbase season they only got about 24 top EU teams signing up, you really think H2V wont get more than 24 teams signin up for a season lol?

The few, the proud, the leet.

Yeah, TWL definately failed in its multiple seasons of Halo leagues and Halo ladders. It started out with the dedicated enthusiasts and gradually grew over time. H2V will be the same.

Agreed, take off your filters and you will see your numbers soar!

BTW also remember when talking about H2V surviving in leagues, you have to remember that some people don't give a flying -blam!- about competitive gaming so basing that as an arguement as to why H2V might not be worth it is slightly unsubstantiated. If that is what you meant that is.

However, There are new leagues coming out and I'm sure people will populate them as always. Some people see fun only as competition and others see fun as just playing, so I guess you have to have both worlds to see all the people who will get involved in the game.

Well, yeah, most gaming leagues tend to play more skill-oriented games such as Counter-Strike or Quake.
Indeed. Don't forget Unreal Tournament.

Generally gaming leagues do not care about skill in games, they like popular games. Popularity = noobishness, just look at css and h2. They are noob friendly.

Of course I love 13 and ut99.

I find this hilarious coming from someone who thinks he's "pro" at Halo.

And why exactly is that hilarious? I have played CSS alot, and believe me, if you are a noob at the game you spray, and if you play in CPL, CAL or ED then you still spray.

I agree with Nessy on this one, CS:S really doesn't take very much skill in comparison to Halo. I've only played CS:S like 10 times and when I play I just take the FAMAS, switch it to burst fire and aim at peoples heads and get instant headshots.

I'd say games like Counter Strike and Halo 2 are more about team cohesion then anything.

Unreal Tournament and Counter-Strike, despite their popularity, are not noobish.

Of course it would not have been as difficult.

CS might not be noobish, but CSS is. UT and CS were before that time of competitive gaming, they were the early fps games that redefined alot of gaming online, of course they would be immensely popular.

You do not have to spray in CSS. Go ahead and spray with any gun, your accuracy is gone and you'll be dead in seconds.

What's really hilarious is that you're such a Halo "pro" and, of all games, you're saying that CS:S is spray and pray. Um, hello? If anything, Halo is a noobish spray and pray game.

Wow dude, seriously lay off.

BTW how is halo spray and pray? Unless you rapidly shoot a pistol and are extremely lucky with the accuracy gradualy getting lower. Also I mean 4 sniper bullets is just so numeros, Can't take it. True skill in halo is easily said in the fewer shots you have to make, the better you are. Of course circumstances apply, but in a straight up gun fight. The guy who needs 3 bullets to kill agaisnt the guy who needs 6...The guy who needs three is obviouisly the better.

Kay, firstly I have played halo for a long time, and it is probably the least spray and pray shooter I have ever seen in respect the speed the game is played at. In css, if you run into someone or even are at a bit of distance, sit down and spray at them, you will get a headshot with any luck.

Go watch DirtySecrets video, he is one of the best css players I have seen, and he - like all other good css players - uses AWP, or sprays like hell.

How can you say it's not spray and pray when you can aim and someones toes, spray and get a headshot?

Whether or not CS:S is noob friendly, you still need to learn how to aim or you screwed.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

None of those games take as much skill as Legends :(
