One of the most interesting features I've found in Halo is the hand-to-hand combat. Yes, yes, Half-Life, Quake, and Unreal Tournament have their share of crowbars and close-range melee weaponry, but Halo is able to pull this design off well in the fact that every weapon has a melee function.
