It just won't be. I mean with the way things are looking for Halo 2 Vista, I doubt that it'll have anything on Halo PC. Here are the advantages of owning Halo 2 Vista:
* A couple new weapons available in multiplayer
* It's got a custom edition
* Possibly lower auto-aim (because of using the mouse) than in the Xbox version
And that's it. Yet this is what Halo PC had:
* More multiplayer options than in Halo 1 Xbox
* Fuel Rod Gun and Flamethrower, making way for the new "heavy weapons" option
* 6 new maps--Danger Canyon, Timberland, Ice Fields, Infinity, Death Island, and Gephyrophobia
* Free downloadable custom edition
* Unlimited free custom maps for the custom edition
* Absolutely no cheating online (there are no ranks, there are dedicated servers, and modders cannot mod in a server besides their own)
Also, if you have custom edition, you'd notice the Halo 2 map trend going on. Lately, people have been remaking Halo 2 maps for Halo 1 custom edition for free download. If you can just play those h2 maps on an h1 disc, then what the hell is the point of buying a Halo 2 Vista? Not only do people remake those maps, they even remake h2 CAMPAIGN maps for multiplayer variants! Seriously, you can download a multiplayer version of the Halo 2 E3 demo (actually, there are TWO versions of this map)...you can also download Metropolis.
As for the H2 multiplayer maps available for download, you can pretty much get all of them. Lockout, Coagulation, Zanzibar, etc. And not only do they have Turf, but they also have a map called Turf_Revamped which is TEN TIMES BIGGER than the original Turf.
Not to mention, Halo PC is a lot cheaper than Halo 2 Vista.
Sbsps might have been ripped from H2 and put into CE, but that still doesn't change the fact that it's not running on the H2 engine. Aside from that, the weapon balances on those levels are appalling. Seeing how you're interested in user created content, I'm surprised you're not interested in getting H2V, especially since at least three-fourths of the remaining community which makes the maps you're talking about are moving to H2V. Doesn't bother me if you dont move along. You're just less bandwidth my server will potentially have to deal with.
