It just won't be. I mean with the way things are looking for Halo 2 Vista, I doubt that it'll have anything on Halo PC. Here are the advantages of owning Halo 2 Vista:

* A couple new weapons available in multiplayer
* It's got a custom edition
* Possibly lower auto-aim (because of using the mouse) than in the Xbox version

And that's it. Yet this is what Halo PC had:
* More multiplayer options than in Halo 1 Xbox
* Fuel Rod Gun and Flamethrower, making way for the new "heavy weapons" option
* 6 new maps--Danger Canyon, Timberland, Ice Fields, Infinity, Death Island, and Gephyrophobia
* Free downloadable custom edition
* Unlimited free custom maps for the custom edition
* Absolutely no cheating online (there are no ranks, there are dedicated servers, and modders cannot mod in a server besides their own)

Also, if you have custom edition, you'd notice the Halo 2 map trend going on. Lately, people have been remaking Halo 2 maps for Halo 1 custom edition for free download. If you can just play those h2 maps on an h1 disc, then what the hell is the point of buying a Halo 2 Vista? Not only do people remake those maps, they even remake h2 CAMPAIGN maps for multiplayer variants! Seriously, you can download a multiplayer version of the Halo 2 E3 demo (actually, there are TWO versions of this map)...you can also download Metropolis.
As for the H2 multiplayer maps available for download, you can pretty much get all of them. Lockout, Coagulation, Zanzibar, etc. And not only do they have Turf, but they also have a map called Turf_Revamped which is TEN TIMES BIGGER than the original Turf.

Not to mention, Halo PC is a lot cheaper than Halo 2 Vista.

LOL no cheating eh?

What the -blam!- fantasy halo world have you been playing in?

Here is my opinion on this matter....

If you want to find out, buy it. If you like it when you buy it, play it and enjoy. If you don't, don't play it.
However, if you don't want to buy it and find out than don't say -blam!- because you haven't played it so you really have nothing to base an opinion on other than speculation and guesses. Right now all we can do is guess about the lead, the game balance, the aim, the matchmaking, and the cheating. We don't know, so really right now all we can do is guess based off past expierences. All we really can do is wait and see unfortunatly.

You really don't know until you buy it or someone else tells you, and even then talk is cheap.

So NOW what?
What would happen if a BR and an SMG had kids? Halo Reach Spawn Weapon of choice, of course!

H2 Vista is Supposed to have a deep involving Multiplayer Map editor, which, opens up the world of Multiplayer Maps 100x's larger than what Halo PC/Custom edition did, SINCE most folks aren't keen at what it takes to make Halo PC maps easily or quickly. Apparently the map editor places that kind of creativity from Halo 1 PC Custom into the hands of EVERYDAY players on Halo 2 Vista. That alone is enough for me to figure out how to get Vista Basic on my laptop. Assuming all it will need is Vista basic... :(

Sbsps might have been ripped from H2 and put into CE, but that still doesn't change the fact that it's not running on the H2 engine. Aside from that, the weapon balances on those levels are appalling. Seeing how you're interested in user created content, I'm surprised you're not interested in getting H2V, especially since at least three-fourths of the remaining community which makes the maps you're talking about are moving to H2V. Doesn't bother me if you dont move along. You're just less bandwidth my server will potentially have to deal with.

* Lower auto-aim (because of using the mouse) than in the Xbox version
* New gametype, Territories
* Improved models and textures

And that's it. Yet this is what Halo PC had:
* More multiplayer options than in Halo 1 Xbox
* Flamethrower, making way for the new "heavy weapons" option neither of which were balanced very well
* Banshee in multiplayer which wasn't balanced at all
* 6 new maps--Danger Canyon, Timberland, Ice Fields, Infinity, Death Island, and Gephyrophobia
* Terrible netcode/Lag

... blah blah blah...

Maybe if your points where accurate you wouldn't be so sure. I removed redundant points and similar points on both sides, added a few you missed, and corrected some unfinished or untrue points.

Let me give you a real list:

What H2V brings that Halo PC did not bring:
A user friendly HEK
Better graphics
matchmaking options
Bug fixes

What Halo PC brought that H2V will not bring (as far as we know):
New weapons
New vehicles

There, much better.

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Um... Halo 2 Vista also includes two new, exclusive maps.

Ah, look at the lonely people...

I have no clue why, but Halo PC is incredibly fun. It could probably be considered a bad port of a game, but it's very fun. I think it's the fact that you have to shoot an inch on the screen in front of anyone to actually hit them.

uh huh see this also happend on xbox once people started playing halo online with the xbox.but in truth halo2 isjust better than halo the gameplay is better its just funner and theres nothing u can do about it.people are still going buy it and play it and enjoy it.not everyone is going to stop playing halo pc but most will be on H2V.i know people like to make halo2 guns on halo pc and the halo2 maps but u still dont get the same amount of fun when u do that halo2 is just waaaaayyyy different than halo.so can u plz stop the compareing plus no one is saying that u have to buy halo2 vista u just go have fun with ur fake ass halo2 maps and guns on halo pc.but i think the rest of us will be on H2V
