I aggre with you on some points.

It just won't be. I mean with the way things are looking for Halo 2 Vista, I doubt that it'll have anything on Halo PC. Here are the advantages of owning Halo 2 Vista:

* A couple new weapons available in multiplayer
* It's got a custom edition
* Possibly lower auto-aim (because of using the mouse) than in the Xbox version

And that's it. Yet this is what Halo PC had:
* More multiplayer options than in Halo 1 Xbox
* Fuel Rod Gun and Flamethrower, making way for the new "heavy weapons" option
* 6 new maps--Danger Canyon, Timberland, Ice Fields, Infinity, Death Island, and Gephyrophobia
* Free downloadable custom edition
* Unlimited free custom maps for the custom edition
* Absolutely no cheating online (there are no ranks, there are dedicated servers, and modders cannot mod in a server besides their own)

Also, if you have custom edition, you'd notice the Halo 2 map trend going on. Lately, people have been remaking Halo 2 maps for Halo 1 custom edition for free download. If you can just play those h2 maps on an h1 disc, then what the hell is the point of buying a Halo 2 Vista? Not only do people remake those maps, they even remake h2 CAMPAIGN maps for multiplayer variants! Seriously, you can download a multiplayer version of the Halo 2 E3 demo (actually, there are TWO versions of this map)...you can also download Metropolis.
As for the H2 multiplayer maps available for download, you can pretty much get all of them. Lockout, Coagulation, Zanzibar, etc. And not only do they have Turf, but they also have a map called Turf_Revamped which is TEN TIMES BIGGER than the original Turf.

Not to mention, Halo PC is a lot cheaper than Halo 2 Vista.

But

1. does it have a custom edition or is the game it self able to play both custom and normal maps.
If so this has bridged the everlasting "gap" between the pc and ce halo players.

2. It possibly has 2 new maps, and it will be easyer to have better graphics when making maps and players will be able to play halo 2.

3. You claim of this "free great maps" but have we all not seen some lousy crapy map which no one should ever play and i tryed the turf revamped level you spoke of...its not that great...ya 10 times bigger yet nothing in that 9 times of space except some dirt, bulidings, and trees....

4. Plus you can now play the OFFICIAL halo 2 maps on the pc which will be perfect and wont have the normal flaws we always see.

5. I too miss the flamethrower and the FRG...well not the FRG... BUT STILL. Think of the possiblity of having custom ensignias on your MLJNOR V armor...Ah that new armor smell.

6. I GET TO KILL HALO 2 THINGS...i dont have a xbox...*GASP* oh no i will get beaten up by Bill Gates and Chuck Norris now.

7. Plus the screen...anyone who has played halo 2 will know how they cant see a single thing. Well you can now turn up the screen brightness...easily.

8. The sword will now work...ITS THE FRICKIN HOLY GRAIL. And the targeting system on the RL.

9. and lastly (thank god and all the penquins) there will be a ranking system and other such things....for a price.

CE had a user friendly EK. It didn't have an idiot friendly EK.

From the perspective of a first time map editor, the HEK was hardly user friendly, 3DSMax was more user friendly.

Thats noob friendly. Its neither noob friendly nor idiot friendly. There was very little about the HEK other than having to reload sapien to test changes in guerrilla that was user unfriendly. Oh and the useless tag fields, but they weren't used anyway.

* A couple new weapons available in multiplayer
* Lower auto-aim (because of using the mouse) than in the Xbox version
* New gametype, Territories
* Improved models and textures

And that's it. Yet this is what Halo PC had:
* More multiplayer options than in Halo 1 Xbox
* Flamethrower, making way for the new "heavy weapons" option neither of which were balanced very well
* Banshee in multiplayer which wasn't balanced at all
* 6 new maps--Danger Canyon, Timberland, Ice Fields, Infinity, Death Island, and Gephyrophobia
* Terrible netcode/Lag

... blah blah blah...

Maybe if your points where accurate you wouldn't be so sure. I removed redundant points and similar points on both sides, added a few you missed, and corrected some unfinished or untrue points.

1-Heavy weapons were actually pretty balanced...I never had a problem with an enemy using a fuel rod gun or a flamethrower before.
2--The banshee wasn't all that unbalanced...I usually kill a banshee guy with any weapon except for the needler (LOL)...
3--The lag isn't that bad on every single server either. I'm not saying the netcode's "great" or anything...don't get me wrong...

LOL no cheating eh?

What the -blam!- fantasy halo world have you been playing in?[quote]The real one.

There is no cheating on Halo PC. I guarantee it. If you have mods, they only work in your own server. You can't ruin anyone else's game with the mods.

You guarantee it? That's too bad, because there are in fact aimbots for Halo PC. You don't even need to play the game to find out, just Google aimbots and if you look hard enough you might find one...

You're right about the mods though. In PC games, the mods affect everybody. Therefore, in Halo 2 Vista, if you see one person flying five miles in the air with automatic battle rifles, you'll see fifteen other players doing the same thing. (Theoretically.)

Oh yeah, the aimbots...I forgot about those (I always hear people talking about them while playing the game, I never knew what they were though)...judging by the name, I'm assuming they give the profile ease when it comes to aiming.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

News flash: There are aimbots to cheat with in Halo PC. There is "sight jacker" to let you see through your enemy's eyes. There are wireframe hacks that enable you to see through walls. There are white-walls hacks to make players stand out more. Lots of cheats.

Just hit a certain key while the program is running (from what I've heard, the shift key) and your reticule will automatically snap to another player's head, compensating for latency, too. Hence, cheating.

...and if someone does not have/want an Xbox... then *ALL* the maps are new ones! *ALL* the new multiplayer options are new, *ALL* the new weapons are new.

If you don't want to play it or don't think it gives you value for money, then stick to Halo1. Hell, why play halo1 when there were more weapons in Doom....and thats relativly free!

Why is this post even -blam!- here?

Because the OP is a narrowminded -blam!-tard. You're stupid loser who doesn't like change. Get over your Ausberger's and -blam!- yourself.

"Halo PC has two more guns! Man, what a great advantage over Halo 2, which only has TWO MORE -blam!- GUNS."
-Yea, good difference.

"Halo PC has a free, downloadable custom edition, while Halo 2 has a free, on-the-CD custom edition!"
-Man, that is so cool! I wish I was retarded enough to think like you!

"Possibly lower auto-aim than XBOX."
-News flash: No one's dumb enough to put that in multiplayer. No matter what they say, there will be no auto aim in multiplayer. Perhaps single player.

"6 New Maps!"
-Btw, Halo 2 Vista's coming with the map pack for Halo 2 XBOX. And, $20 says if they make more maps for Vista, you can download them off the site.

"Unlimited free custom maps with custom edition."
-This isn't even a -blam!- claim, what the hell are you talking about?

"Absolutely no cheating."
-Do you even play Halo PC? Aimbots, wall hacks, memory hacks.

"More multiplayer options in Halo PC."
-Did you know when you map edit, you get options that you don't normally get just by changing the settings? Sure, it may be less configurable in game, but it's still there.

Before we continue, I'd like to let you all know I've lost several IQ by reading this post.

Halo 2 Vista will:
-have better graphical capabilites
-be lag compensation implemented
-have a longer time before hacks emerge for the game, because it's on Vista, which people aren't too used to yet.
-have Live capability
-BE BETTER OR THE SAME. GET OVER IT.

I like Halo, don't get me wrong. But you can't just make a claim, just because you enjoy Halo PC more, and try to back it up with complete bull-blam!-. It's -blam!- idiotic, and for your own good, I hope you never do it again.

Slaying noobs since 2007.

Ummm ok..................................................... what?

Alright I'm not even sure I want to start trying to tick off the things wrong with your idea Vitamin, but it could be grammatical error I was sensing instead?!?
