Why the hell are you looking at this? Get out.

And no group invites, you jerk. I'm not interested.

You connect your xbox to your PC and use Xbox Connect to use the lan system over the innernets.

Two things:
One: wrong forum. You want Halo Xbox forums.
Two: get Halo PC for the online games. It's only $20, and multiplayer is completely free (and you have support for custom-created maps without having to hack anything, something your Xbox will NOT do.) And if you have decent internet and graphics, it will NOT be crappy, as long as you can deal with uber lag from other people's computers.

Someone move this thread now.

The only problem with it is that you will almost never get a match with over 6 players because since it's technically still system linking, you can only connect 4 xbox's together. That means that in order to get 16 people, you would need 4 players on every xbox and you will usually only see one or two people on an xbox. Sometimes 3 or 4 if you're lucky. Also you can't use your microphone in Halo CE, so there is almost no communication between you and your team.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. You play over a tunneling system LAN thingar over XBC. This allows you to play over a LAN over far distances. You need a router for this to work, or a crossover cable I believe. The reason is the computer has to be connected to the internet, and the Xbox too. It may lag, but it's the closest you're going to get to XBL for Halo. Don't anyone say that Halo:PC is a way for Halo online. It's not, they feel like completely different games.

Are you sure it's not you? If you always cannot get used to the keyboard, you could hook up a 360 controller to it. Overall, the people on the keyboards and mouses will always excell over the controller users on Halo:PC.

Well Enough Alone...

~"The people who play Bungie games tend to sense that there's something behind the games that's attractive to them. Then they become fans of the games. And then they become rabid fans. And then they become employees of Bungie."(Life story) -Marty

I just downloaded xbox connect from the link bungie provided yesterday and so far, it isn't as easy to set up as they claim. Do I have to hook my xbox up to my pc or can I still have it hooked up to my linksys wireless G rourghter with speedboost like I do now? Can I still use xbl if I have it hooked up to my pc? How will it affect my pc? Will I be able to go online with both at the same time? Someone pleas message me the answers!

You need to have it hooked into the router. No you cannot play XBL at the same time on the same Xbox. If you have two Xbox's you could go online with one and play XBC on the other. It should only take up some disk space on your PC, as does everything that you download or put onto it. If you have a router, you can go online and play XBC at the same time, but it isn't recommended. XBC is laggy enough, you don't need the added strain of you trying to upload or download something off the net.
