Wow, I wish I had vista. I'm still stuck in the stone age with Win 2000.

Most of the PC issues posted here are the result of PEBKAC.

Where are these bugs and crashes people keep telling be about? I haven't had a crash yet.

Nvidia's drivers just suck right now. I expect better graphic performance by the end of this month.

As someone who works for the Microsoft Windows Vista Support Team, I can tell you that Vista is by far an infinitely capable operating system. No, this isn't a spiel for Microsoft, this is a testimony of someone who's been gaming since Wolftenstein 3D. I've gone through almost every single computer and console since the NES.

The reason that Halo 2 PC is Vista only is probably because, once the first service pack is released (coming soon!), then Vista will slowly start to take over XP as the predominant operating system for PCs. Vista IS the new XP. Right now the figures are something like 80% of PCs in the world are running on XP. In a year or two, Vista will be the forerunning of PC operating systems. Those who are happy with it can testify that it's powerful, fast, and has so much potential. Obviously it's not perfect, and the biggest issue right now is the lack of driver support from 3rd Party manufacturers (don't even get me started on nVidia lol).

Once the proper drivers are released (unless you have them already), along with H2V, I can guarantee that it will run better on a Vista machine with the same specs than an XP machine with the same specs.
