Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

I did a tour of Halo PC servers today. Most were running heavy weapon sets. Why? Because of the varying lead required to hit targets. Most players find it too hard. Weapons with splash damage are more likely to hit the target. Suddenly I don't mind the fact there are so many heavies servers now.

lies

i lead somebody with a RL and it lags and misses, then they lag alover.

same with hogs, i can only kill one person out of the hog with a RL cause it lags alover

FRG>RL for anti vehicle and spartan

but the thing is with the FRG is people spam it when its a 2SK, so i fire in 2 shot burst untill the kill, and i can usualy get 6 shots untill overheating when i fire in burst instead of 5

for vehicles i aim one shot where i think it will hit and another ahead about 7-8 meters and it wipes out the hog

a weapon is only nooby if it is used nooby.

That all makes sense to me. I know you have to lead with a rocket sometimes, but you still have the splash damage to increase your chances of a hit. I forgot to mention that lead isn't the only reason people do all heavy weapons; some people just like big explosions.

A rocket against the hog won't kill everyone most of the time. I find that the gunner almost always survives if he had full health.

1 Person can only be killed at a time in a hog. Doesn't matter if its a Fuel Rod, Grenade, Rocket, etc. The last one to enter the hog is the one get killed first. That is the reason the driver always survives if he's got crew with him.

One great luxaries of the Heavy Weapons gametype is the ability to make the ever so popular "Halo Aimbot" virtually useless.
People love Heavy games for the fast pace action. Ever play Hang Em High or Wizard with rockets? Great fun.
Hate Shees? Then Rockets are the game for you.
Even more amazing is that there are existing leagues for Heavies where clans like MCK,XF, SP, DUY, X and others actually play and compete.

Agreed. It's okay if you run people over in a warthog, but if that's the only way you can get kills, you need to uninstall.

yeah, plasma grenades are fun to stick to your apponents, and they have a fairly decent spalsh effect, so why aren't the plasma genades as popular, why does it have to be heavies, seems like a few gamers are over compansating for something they lack :D.

Heyyo,

It's easier to kill with heavies and that's why a lot of servers use them. I myself don't find it very entertaining after like... 3 rounds I get bored and look for a server with all weapons enabled......

No, I've killed more than 1 person while there were 2-3 occupants in a hog.

It's only where you hit, if you hit the gunner, or the back of the hog, you won't kill the driver because the rocket's blast radius isn't long enough to reach the driver, rather, the splash damage will reach him though.

If you hit midway between the driver and gunner, you may have a chance to knock all 3 occupants, maybe if the passenger had half shield...

One thing you have to consider is how much health each player has. If I get into a hog with 2 bars of health, there's no way I'll survive a rocket no matter what order I am in boarding that hog.

Hmm, maybe so.

Still, I believe the most safest seat to be in the warthog is the driver's seat. A passenger on the side is rather high in the way he crouches in the seat to get into a firing position. The gunner is the most vulnerable, because he's almost completely exposed and as easy to spot as a firecracker at midnight.

Of course, if you're a good shot, they're all pretty much just moving targets.

I'd like to stick the FRG right up the keister of the person that got that in the game and watch them explode in green glory! Aimbot is probably the most detrimental thing in online halo play. I usually just leave and find a non cheating game to play. I wonder why you would play a game and cheat? What's the point? Anyone can cheat, only means you area cheater not a good player. Anyway I like heavies because it levels the playing field the most. Plus I will never get to drive a real tank and blow stuff up.

im afraid im gonna have to confiscate your testicles.

What are you, the Cyber police? lol.

Really? I havent seen many, I have actually seen 50/50 (regular servers and heavy weapon servers) I however miss the small regular maps like ... normal weapon starting Battle creek. I saw a RvB episode where it had these red and blues fighting stupidly while Kabose and Sarge watched them, started out with normal weapons. -sigh- Though those servers were made long ago. Ah the good ol' days...

This is all true, except perhaps for the part about the shees. For an experienced player a pistol is a far better anti-shee weapon than a rocket. Aimbotting has definitely killed regular weapons for Halo PC.

I like heavies for all of these reasons, but also because it's more challenging-especially for CTF. If you are a decently talented pistol whore, and noone on the other teams matches your skills, you can dance around the enemy base for quite a while. However with heavy weapons, any n00b can kill you with one shot. That makes getting in and out with the flag far more challenging.

I'm willing to bet most of the people here who complain about aimbots just suck and would probably call any good player a bot.

Amen. I'm willing to bet that most of the people who get banned from servers due to accusations of cheating rarely ever cheat.

An amusing story...

I joined a heavy non-dedicated server and apparently the host had set lots of vehicles and high health - it was 2 vs me and another guy. The score's something like 12-4 to them, and they're noobing around in banshees (I say that because despite the high health they were easy kills). So, after knocking them out of their shees and killing them a few times, as the score leveled, the host (on the other team) said "OMG what are you doing this is stunts server"

I responded with "So... why were you killing us?" and my teammate and I were promptly banned from the server.

Hehehe.

Yes, I have been banned for aimbotting when I sniped some one in a base to base snipe.

I'd love to do that, wrong problem no one can join, and I'm using wi-fi so I don't know how to forward ports so port forwarding is useless.
