Why can't we use mics on Halo on the PC? Or can you? If so can someone tell me how? I think it would be easier to use in combat than typeing and dying.

You can't use your mic in halo pc unfortunatlly, but if you go to the maw gatherings then you can use teamspeak to talk in game, or find servers with teamspeak.

what's the point of using an Xbox 360 controller on the PC? and how would you go about attaching a mic to your controller?

its for ppl who have a laptop and can't use the touch pad and the keyboard... and it seems as though you don't have an xbox 360, if you did then you'd know that you can attach a mic to it.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Xbox pad has a "communicator" headset with mic that plugs into it. I broke mine when I had an Xbox. :s

You can also set up voice chats via X-fire. You can also use a regular mouse on laptops...not just a controller.

I wonder if the Wolf thinks the Moon listens when he howls at it.

Because Halo PC was released in 2002 i think. Chatting in online games was that popular yet.

Halo was released before Xbox Live, thus, there is no voice chatting in it. When Halo came for the PC, VOIP wasn't that popular back then, so Gearbox didn't bother adding it.

But you could always use third-party VOIP such as Xfire or TeamSpeak which allow you to voice chat through a program in the background with other players.

How do you register into it, and is it because random people would join and cause crap?

I don't even remember, I was registered way before the rule was enforced. And no, it's not from random people, it's because people were joining with aliases and we didn't know who they were; this way everyone is what their name is.

Don't get to worried about it, you're not missing anything anyway. All it is is basically Robo and Demi yelling "EXTREME!"

Was wondering what happened. Was starting to feel at home, and then one day, I couldn't log in. Checked the forums and found no announcements. Oh well, we have our own TS now ... being denied kinda spurred me to get one for my clan instead.
