Well, Beer Baron, it stands to reason that a Bungie fan would stay, group or no.

KOTOR | The WarriorsI'll chain you to the truth for the truth shall set you free
I'll turn the screws of vengeance and bury you with honesty
I'll make all your dreams come to life, then slay them as quickly as they came

Yes, but we are currently undecided on a few things. We wanted to add a few new features to them instead of just porting them over (well, what's worth it to port, most people don't use a lot of the resource types). However, due to the way a bunch of things are shaping up, we probably don't have time to do that soon. So, it is looking like we will do a simple porting of the groups as is, and come back and add the cool features we want when we can. We don't want to keep them off for so long just because of some timing issues. Scheduling things around here can be entertaining sometimes.

But they will come back, in one form or another.
Why don't you ask the community to vote on things you are unsure on?

I've wondered that as well. We should be the ones with the voice on what would be best for the site and groups, seeing as how we use the site the most. Not that the online team shouldn't model their own site to their likings, but the members should get what they want within reason. If everyone voted yes for colored text, and the Online Team judges it as troublesome, then it wouldn't be implemented. What I'm trying to say is there are a lot of good ideas in the Forum by a lot of brilliant members; I think the Online Team should start to listen to their ideas more and go from there.

Do we get anything whatsoever to make the downtime we've already experienced seem a bit more worthwile or will we be getting another Soon with a cute little T and M beside it?

Why don't you stop acting like a spoiled 6 year old stomping your feet because things aren't happening according to your special time-frame.
This is a fan site. Last I checked there are no monthly membership dues. Bungie doesn't make money from your presence here and therefore, a group is not owed to you for your forum participation. The groups are a currently suspended because Bungie is trying to improve them...in case you're wondering that means 'make them betta".
Let's review.

1) You do not pay to be there and, therefore, are in no position to make demands.
2) Bungie is not required to divulge information to us.
3) The groups are being improved, why rush it?

And to think I actually thought you were a bright guy. Take a moment, remove Achronos's tender parts from your mouth, and read what I asked again. Do you see one spot where I made a demand or pitched a fit? No, you don't. My curiosity as to whether or not we'll get something from the group downtime is fairly valid and all I did was ask. If he wanted to give a little tidbit or do as he has done and remain silent, that's fine. However, having some dip-blam!- accuse me of a tantrum isn't.

Perhaps you think the new update is great. Perhaps you have full confidence that any and all changes that they choose to make will be for the better. I, for one, do not like the new forum update and as a result, I'm fairly worried about what will come of the groups, especially considering their spot on the totem pole as far as importance goes. I would say it's safe to assume that atleast something has been done to groups in the downtime and I'm curious to know if we'll see any of that. The groups on this site are important to me. They're the reason I'm still here for the most part and I'm not the only person on the site that feels that way, so it's only natural that we are a little impatient.

If you think I crossed some line by asking a question of a person with gold text, then you're a special type of moron.

It's not natural that you're impatient, it's unreasonable.
There are no less than 4 new threads a day from people crying out for the groups
Either you thought you were special and that your thread would warrant a different answer than the other threads had received, or you were too ignorant to notice all the others. Either way it was a waste of space.
It's ironic that the creator of a "where are the groups??" thread wants to call my "brightness" into question.
You're good for a laugh as always, Meech.
Keep them coming.
