I have a Dell Inspiron 6000, 128MB ATI X300 Radeon Mobility. 1GB RAM, 1.71ghz Intel Centrino Processor. Now, I can run F.E.A.R. on around medium quality at 1024x768. I don't remember the exact specs for F.E.A.R. but I know that Halo 2's graphics quality is no where NEAR the quality of F.E.A.R. So, why is Halo 2's requirements so high? I guess not everyone knows how to optimize their game like Epic does with the Unreal games. It's ridiculous that I've waited over 2 years for H2V and now I may not even be able to play it. It's not like I have the option of getting a new laptop, because my parents won't allow me to get a job until I graduate high school.

Uh no sorry. When was FEAR released? Fall of 05?
Halo 2 maybe an old game, but coming onto the PC it's being graphically remade. The game will be more graphically demanding than FEAR in all aspects.
As soon as I get my H2V, I will make sure to turn off HDR. DRA, Soft Shadows, and AA all Frame eaters.
BTW those requirements listed are the minimum. Anyone remember the minimum requirements for Halo PC? Yeah that pretty much says it all.
