YIKES!

I those those WERE the recommended system requirements not MINIMUM! If what's stated on that website is minimum I cry to think about what could be the Recommended.

Minimum is fine if you want to play 30 FPS and at a horrible resolution.

Looks like some people will be disappointed when they have to upgrade their machines to play Halo 2 Vista with a fair amount of FPS.

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Agamemnon?

And no, if that is right, it wasn't copied and pasted. I had to read the story the name came from in English class when I was in High School.

Fail. Agamemnon582bc. :P

No copy+paste required.

Thanks for telling us anyway. Special thanks to Bungie for not telling us about it before you or anybody else did.

Good to know, considering this information was released earlier today. Everything before today was simple speculation.

Agamemnon. Agamemnon. Agamemnon. It's not that hard.

You need to pass English if you think that's a hard name to spell.

On the website, There is a tab that says Game Demo.. Coming Soon. Is this true?

  • 04.05.2007 3:55 PM PDT

What it is.

Yeah, i am sure they will release a demo, only after the release of the game though. Kinda like Halo PC.

Pretty lenient system requirements if you ask me.

2GB of RAM is quicky becoming the norm for games.

I never knew halo trial demo was released after halo pc. That sounds pretty stupid to release a demo after the initial release of the full game. Makes no sense but whatever, I just can't wait to see how halo2vista will be.

Yeah, Pretty intense I agree. I just hope that this does not turn out like halo. All laggy and some bugs. I remember that like two years ago, Halo never used to have any lag or bug issues but now its all gone downhill. Hopefully, there won't be as many 56kers on Vista than there was on halo Pc.

- Note, that's split up so that it's allowed :)

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000, 128MB ATI X300 Radeon Mobility. 1GB RAM, 1.71ghz Intel Centrino Processor. Now, I can run F.E.A.R. on around medium quality at 1024x768. I don't remember the exact specs for F.E.A.R. but I know that Halo 2's graphics quality is no where NEAR the quality of F.E.A.R. So, why is Halo 2's requirements so high? I guess not everyone knows how to optimize their game like Epic does with the Unreal games. It's ridiculous that I've waited over 2 years for H2V and now I may not even be able to play it. It's not like I have the option of getting a new laptop, because my parents won't allow me to get a job until I graduate high school.

Uh no sorry. When was FEAR released? Fall of 05?

Halo 2 maybe an old game, but coming onto the PC it's being graphically remade. The game will be more graphically demanding than FEAR in all aspects.

As soon as I get my H2V, I will make sure to turn off HDR. DRA, Soft Shadows, and AA all Frame eaters.

BTW those requirements listed are the minimum. Anyone remember the minimum requirements for Halo PC? Yeah that pretty much says it all.

^if you have a -blam!-y comp then sure, turn those settings off. We like to call that the eye candy. But whatever makes the game playable i guess.

Guess halo was just screwed up in the first place..

Doesn't seem that hard to meet these 'pithy' requirements anyway.
