My favorite band to listen to while playing halo has to be The Offspring, then again they are my favorite band period. I also listen to Metalica, AC/DC, Black Sabbath or Ozzy, Drowning Pool (mainly just Bodies), and some other bands.

I am a monument to all of your sins.

If anything just cannot go wrong ,it will anyway
.fortune wisdom

I love my Mark V helmet, no upgrade necessary.

Well on mp i almost always listen to classic stuff.
There are pieces that just make me feel so very good while shooting people.
i normally turn on winamp radio classic ..marvelous,
even though my friends hate it,,,barbarians,,,
but of course plain old rock does the trick too..

Definitely Dimmu Borgir.
Progenies of the Great Apocalypse goes really well with multiplayer, as does Blood Hunger Doctrine.
"Are we not the undisputed prodigy of warfare,
fearing all the mediocrity that they posess?
Should we not hunt the bastards down with our might,
Reinforce and claim the throne that is so rightfully ours."
For single player, I stick with the soundtrack provided by Bungie.
That Gregorian chant is beautiful.

The Sex Pistols- (Anarchy in the UK)
the eighties matchbox b-line disaster- (mister mental)
Franz Ferdinand- (Take Me Out)
The Libertines- (Don't Look back Into the Sun)

but if i have to chose amerikan bands i would go for "NOFX/Rancid byo split"- fuppin awesome

i actually have the halo soundtrack on CD and listen to that. it may be halo overkill, but i don't think that is possible;-) of course, when all else fails, there is always AC/DC

Heh, i see some GREAT bands in this thread. I just skimmed, but it will be funny when someone says they listen to rap.. lol. But onto important stuff,

SP-Most of the time Marty's stuff, but when I want to listen to rock; Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Black Flag, Metallica, Queen (lol, after seeing Shaun of the Dead, this band is the perfect Halo-like band), Drowning Pool, Static-X, Slipknot, Misfits, Dead Kennedys, Black Sabbath, Disturbed, Murderdolls, Tracks released from the Halo 2 Soundtrack, and uh.. a lot more...

MP- When I'm actually playing, nothing. When we're experimenting (i.e.- getting all vehicles on one base one BG) We blast anything that is is either Metal, Hardcore, or Punk.

Slayer
Children of Bodom
Kalmah

And all other Heavy/Death metal bands. Perfect for shooting a hole in someones face with a shotgun (or any other weapon).

The music I like is kinda weird since I like to listen to music from movies and movie trailers and whatnot, I have 3 CDs, T2, T3, and Halo soundtracks, that's it. The reason I'm quoting you is because I love Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse because it was in the first Hellboy trailer :D. Other then that, I like to listen to music I DLed from Requiem For A Dream, Immediate Music-Lacrymosa (Spider Man 2 trailer) and I forget the artist but the other song is called Pompeii
