Reminds me of that one map in singleplayer. Forgot name but it looks like a pretty good map. Not as great looking as Uplift, but it will do.

It looks like they dished this out faster than uplift. It looks awesome, but I hope they polish it a little more before release.

You can definitely expect a lot of vehicular mayhem! District was designed from the very start to focus heavily on vehicles and on creating fun and interesting gameplay situations between vehicles and infantry. The Old Mombasa urban setting of District really lent itself well to achieving this goal. The streets provide natural routes for the vehicles to travel and patrol around, and there are many tighter alleyways that are able to be maneuvered by skilled drivers. Besides streets and alleys, there are other distinct areas, such as the parking garage, that lead to some really fun and crazy situations with vehicles. We have had a lot of great vehicle chases happen in District, as well as some very daring escapes as players have taken vehicles and jumped them off the third floor of the parking garage.
By using the custom game settings, it's possible to get up to 15 vehicles in District, and that is not counting the two standard and two optional turrets we have included as well!

The game supports in-game voice and text chat, so you can communicate with your team or rub it in someone's face. (hmm, sounds interesting)

What does everyone else have to say?

District reminds me of Chronopolis C3 Public Beta. You think Hired Gun might have gotten a few of their ideas from it?

I cant wait to play that map. Looks like Bungie did a good job on it. If they wanted it on the Xbox, Punisher, they would have included it to the map update already. Besides, H2V players want to hog it to themselves.

It does kinda look like that map... but the buildings are not as shiny...

Anybody know why that map never got out of beta?

Bungie doesn't see gamers any more. They see walking credit cards.

Reminds of me the Custom Edition map New Mombasa. But lighter.

I love the new screenshots. I'm looking forward to it.

GS: Finally, has multiplayer been balanced so that everyone is on equal footing, regardless of the type of controller that they're using? Or will mouse-and-keyboard players have a distinct advantage versus gamepad players?

DM, MVG, and KW: We did some balancing to make the keyboard-and-mouse experience on par with the controller. Overall, we believe that the controller will prove to be a popular and competitive option for those that prefer it. When our team plays large multiplayer games, controller players regularly school the keyboard/mouse players, and vice versa.
Yeah, because they load the controllers down with auto-aim or some crap like that.

Halo 2 was built around the controller, much more so than the original game. It will be interesting to see how the mouse and keyboard works out.

You cant give Bungie credit at all for this, Hired Gun are the ones that made these maps. Why even bother giving Bungie credit when they wont even list it as one of their games(they don't even have a Halo 2 Vista game page). Great job Hired Gun!

Seems like a excellent race map with the it have support for 15 vehicles and being designed with it in mind. Sadly there's no race gametype in Halo 2. :(
