It seems that crappy work weeks were all the rage lately.
This past week, I was up to my eyeballs in work and when I got back to the hotel, sleep was the only thing on the agenda.
But now I am home, in the house, avoiding the cold (and chores), going through my PM backlog and permaban requests.
The really good news for the OP? This is all text-based. It's not like XBL where it's all verbal and the best that you can do is say "someone said something nasty to me". Because this is text, because what we say stays until it is edited or removed, if someone is misbehaving, a member only needs to report it and move along. When we get the PM, IM, e-mail, or smoke-signals, the text is still there and we can take care of things.
Sure, it's not instantaneous, but it doesn't have to be. A forum disruption, even the most horrific (and they are nothing compared to the some in my memory) are just that. Text on a screen. Waiting to be read and dealt with. It's nothing that can harm anyone or cause the ice-caps to melt.
An "emergency" on the forums is usually more a sign that someone's priorities are in need of review.
When do you sleep?(!)
