I tihnk that it would be great to have music plaing on Bungie.net. like have it play automaticly and have a play / pause button at bottom of the page. Then different music for each part of the site. Or there could be a scroll box to select the music you want from a list at the bottom of each page along side the play / pause button..

the music could be drawn from their games so songs like:
Halo Theme
Under cover of darkness
Peril
Oni Theme
Earth city.
but since bungie already did the renovautions whay would the toil over adding thin in now? well they don't have to! there still owrking on groups right? so the could just add this in for groups exclusivly for now and see how folks like it. you could set yur groups default music from a list and everything. post comments and vote

Thanks for the comments. and now that i think about it yeah, i would prefer fast page loading over music.

I work for the Department of Defense.

Many people already complain about page load times. and Achronos has said that thats what they want most. Quick simple loads.

Adding a music feed to the site would ruin that goal for many.

Itunes FTW.

Wow...I've nothing to add to this. This is exactly what I wanted to say.

I dislike this idea, too spastic. Although it would nice if there was a Bungie music section. Only samples and stuff though, otherwise I would feel cheap. I sure do like the Marathon music.

Edit: So I basically give this idea a thumbs down and the loading times is a big issue. THey also have more important things to do at the moment. Although, a nice little music section for the not so aware people might be nice. Hell, I don't know.

No. The core idea behind bungie.net is no unnecessary crap. Thats why the new design was based around reducing the style sheets and graphics required to render the page. Music would just defeat this.

No, it is just as easy to open up Windows Media Play, Quick time, Real time, Roxio, or one of the many other media players and listen to music. There really is no point to this idea, in my opinion. Yes, we all loved the bungie music made by Mary, but you can easily find that online somewhere. Not to mention the loading times for each page would be horrible, as many people have already stated. So, to this idea, I say no.

Teabag makes you good.

Waste of bandwidth.

  • 04.08.2007 4:55 PM PDT

Deal with it.

I said no, not because it wouldn't be a nice feature, but because it's impractical and, when starting automatically, annoying. Make it an option in the User CP that's off by default, and maybe.

How do you stab a website? They should be burned!

I believe that if we pack more stuff into Bungie.net's website, it might become laggy and you couldn't get anything done.

Nah, you could always use Windows Media Player or some other alternative. A separate music page would be alright though.

No music while playing. As far as Bungie should go is offer downloads. Like the Podcast they have, make a download station for some music.

I am a proud user of correct spelling and grammar.

I'd say Bungie could use a Download section, but as far as listening to music, I just open up iTunes.

Their was a time when this was under a post. Simpler times; no Halo 3 Forum and no search. Simpler times. Happy about search though.

Toast always lands butterside down.
Attach to back of cat always lands on feet......

Result:Antigravity!

Well if everything worked out they could have the music from H1 at the menu screen.
Otherwise there's the loading time and it's not worth it even without the loading problem.
Besides if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Reading the post before I voted didn't change the outcome. In fact, it made me hate the idea more because you missed out on Myth music, which is most obviously the best out of all the Bungie games.
