I'll keep this very short and simple, as most of you have already scene this. I, as most of you know, make machinima in my down time. From November till now I've been working on my Return of the King, my epic motion picture, my masterpiece for Halo 2 vista, Sierra.
Now, I've gone through many people asking this question. The gearbox forums I've tried, and although I did find someone who would train my editor to animate, the site isn't what I would call machinima friendly. I've tried Halo Maps, the only problem is that the Machinima boards on that site are run by 11 year olds who lack the ability to do anything not lackluster. So, for the fifth time, and most likely not the last, I resort to the MAW.
The episodes for my series can be found here. (there are a few typos, but nothing that is distracting)
Iceburg Inc, the team I'm working with to produce it can be found here.
Now, word on the streets says a lot you you want to do Machinima, but you don't for a few major reasons.
1)Comedies dominate the market, very rarely does a successful drama or action come along, leaving most machinimas the same
2)Most machinima group are run by little kids who don't know what the hell they're doing.
3)Your too lazy to write up something -_-
I can assure you, that all of these things are taken care of. I'm fifteen, and the people I'm working this have had their balls drop, so no worry about being around little people. We are experienced, though we haven't had much success that was mainly because of bad advertising and lack of a crew. And I write a lot, so you won't have to do any of that. And ya, incase you hate dramas, we have two comedy projects going on as well, so you will always be satisfied. So I strongly encourage joining, it will be worth your wile.
Anyway, back to business, I need a 3D animator. Someone with a fair amount of experience who can animate the opening space battle for me. There are several scenes, skipping in between short clips of space action and whats happening on board. It will total about one and a half minutes of 3D animated footage, so I'm really not asking for much.
Now if you can't 3D animate but you want to join, by all means do. You just have to be dedicated, that means actually contributing to our forums and helping out with odds and ends that need helping out with.
And, if your too lazy to read even the first episode (bastard) then let me try to convince you otherwise. A few reasons why this series will even hand Red vs. Blue its own ass if pulled off correctly.
1. Original score biotch!
2. Very detailed script and characters.
3. Utilizes several map environments, which not only making the series divers, but will help advertise maps.
4. I've been working on this for almost half a year (and I'm still not done), I think the quality will speak for itself.
5. Um, hello, original score!
Even if you don't join, but read it, I would love feedback, especially criticisms. As long as your constructive, it always helps to know what I can improve on.
