A question just arose in my head for when the groups come back. Now, I know, with the arrival of the release date of the Beta, our butt-cheeks are squinching and we're all excited and stuff, but I'm not being impatient. I just had a thought. Hopefully, the Bungie Lords are listening in on this...

When the groups come back, will we have to find and re-join them? Or will we already be in the groups?? 'cause I just realized that I'm in a bunch of groups and I don't remember them all...

I think I might know the answer already...

If you don't remember all the groups you were in, I'd say they weren't very important to you.

Whenever people send me requests to be in their group, I force them to give me a position of power otherwise I refuse to join.

Force?

I'd say 'make empty demands' is more accurate don't you think?

I have returned from the Untamed Lands. MOAP is dead.

Right...so you can remember all the groups you didn't give a damn about in the first place.
Good call.

i do post daily mostly... though not in all groups. that's being obsessed.

well, i doubt they'd make us rejoin. that'd be pointless.

I need groups, I'm sick of not having them. The confines of my groups made bungie a much better place...for me anyway. For a while i never really posted in any of the main forums. Mostly because the H3 forum got so bad I couldn't stand posting any longer. Now that the groups are gone for a while, I find myself posting more in the b.net community forum.

But on the subject, I believe if the groups are not affected by TNH 2.0 then we should still belong to all our groups. It would be pointless to have a bunch of groups without any members to join. Especially if it was a group that could only accept members manually. When people que themselves for membership, who will be able to accept them? No one. So I figure either groups will totally be deleted and start fresh and new, or they will be the same, only with new modifications to them.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

To actually answer your question rather than take yet another thread off-topic, the answer is no, you will not have to rejoin your groups unless something goes really wrong with Bungie's data backup.

Foman won't join a group unless they agree to give him the custom title of "Messiah".

well, i am okay with sticking out here for now because the forums feel friendlier. perhaps the excitment has died down already, but whenever i go on, someone's at least online, replying to a thread simultaneously. so it's much nicer for me. the activity makes up right now for the lack of private threads.

back on topic, i doubt we'd have to rejoin at all. we should still even have the same ranks, and, as previously stated, most articles and threads should remain as we left them, except, of course, for deleted features, possibly the guest book and such useless things. everything else should be the same, and the new features shouldn't bother the old too much.

You probably do. Go with that.

Haha. The mother of invention (At least for a lot of computer projects). Those borders are familiar to me, but I can't put my finger on it... Is it from Megaman?
