1. Can I somehow use my Xboxlive gamertag? Can I link it to the new Live on Windows?

2. How well do you think my pc will run Halo 2?

Omg.... please read the -blam!- stickies, THEY ARE THERE FOR A REASON. This kind of -blam!- gets posted over and over so, save us a headache and read the stickies before you post again.

Sorry. I havent been here in awhile. ):
hmm..Only thing I got close to my 1st question was

"Q: Will we have to pay to play Halo 2 Vista?
A: For a free Silver membership, no, you won't. With a Silver membership, you will be allowed a single gamertag, a common gamerscore and and gamer profile, single player achievements, private chat via text and voice, a common friends list and online presence, and a browsing list. With a Gold membership (which you do have to pay for), you have everything the Silver membership offers, matchmaking, and multiplayer achievements."

Doesn't say if you can use your Xbox Live gamertag or not.

and for my 2nd question. It only tells the minimum requirements... Which is never helpful.

Well, just do a quick scan of the stickies, you'll find the answer of your question in there.

who says you have to be an ace to have fun?

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Everything should be fine except for the processor. That's a pretty weak processor IMO.

Yes, you can use your gamertag on GFW - Live. You put it on the PC just like you did on the 360.

GamerTag: M0ST Bodacious

Now i have a question, will the achievements form Windows vista games go on your Xbox live gamerscore, and vise-versa. Or will it work like one gamertag?

  • 04.11.2007 5:56 PM PDT

What it is.

Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live are the same thing. If you have an XBL account, just make sure it is linked to a MS .NET passport so once you want to log in, you enter your email adrdress and your password and it will log you on. If you already have Gold on Xbox then you do not need to pay any extra on the PC.

Clever I give you that, trying to mask the old "can my pc run it?" with a little something else to soften the blow, but it is none the less a can my computer run H2V.

Obviously, you've never heard of google. It's a little site where you search for things like these.

Bungie has stated it about 50 billion times; the achievements on Vista games are Vista-only achievements. No, they will not show up on your Xbox Gamertag.

and for my 2nd question. It only tells the minimum requirements... Which is never helpful.
Possibly because that's all we've been given to work with? Do you also know what minimum means? It means if you have anything remotely close to the minimum then your game will look like Starfox64.

Really? I have heard quite the opposite. (In reference to achievements & gamertag)

Can you cite a source on that?

Don't you people ever get tired of flaming (Pancho?, Desert Fox?)? Saying the same damn thing over and over and over again. I chuckle at the fact that people get angry about something so guileless as someone asking if their comptuer can run a specific PC game (unless their computer is a beast of a machine, and it's absurd to think that it wouldn't "run it"). What is the problem with that? Really... I want to know...

Yes, he should have probably researched before posting, but that is beside the point. A simple "you should look at the forum stickies," and maybe an answer to the question would be sufficient. You don't have to hound the person, like a pack of angry bush babies.
Cheers.

Oh but its so fun, and besides don't try and tell me that if I asked a stupid question that someone wouldn't flame me as if I was in h3ll.

So that makes it right? You're like a teenager (no doubt...) who's experiencing the harmful effects of peer pressure. Also, you never answered my question: what is so wrong about posting a question regarding the ability to run H2V in respect to their computer specifications? If it is merely a quandry with the act of posting said question on a "new" topic/thread, then, though I don't agree with it, your feelings of frustration may be somewhat understandable. That being said, I still don't see why it is "stupid" to ask if your computer fits the criteria for running the game. Please, enlighten me :)

Cheers.

I don't flame very often, but it's real annoying having pointless "Will my pc run h2v" threads scattered all over the forums.

"I don't flame very often." HA! o_O A majority of your posts (or at least the ones I've seen) have a sarcastic and contumelious tone to them, regardless of the fact that you may not categorize that as "flaming." Also, like I said before (and still haven't recieved any trace of an answer), why is it "stupid," or in this case, "pointless" to have "will my PC run H2V" questions scattered on this (singular) forum? It is, afterall, a forum for "PC" as the name suggests.

Cheers.

Eh, I rarely flame people anymore. Instead I harshly critcize them for their stupidity and ignorance and tell them to press the button that looks like a circle with a line through it on their computer.

It is stupid because there is a sticky that says "halo 2 vista FAQ". In that sticky, there is a list of the minimum requirements. Also, I'm sorry for my bad grammar, but don't make a big deal out of it if you still understand what I am saying.

Quite true, and I congratulate you for that (I think...) Here is your metaphorical gold star; those who practice seemingly good behavior all have one (and those who don't want one :-). It seems as though ever since that thread about "flaming" was made here on the MAW forum a while back, flaming has become a minority practice. It seems the general tone of the forum is somewhat neighborly and obliging. We have all come a long way. Hell, even Obi_Wan has been considerably nicer as of late... well, maybe that is a bad example :-P (he may just be having a good day :-) [joking 0_0] It does not have to be a forum full of animosity and contempt.

Cheers.

To clarify Kim's post under this one, it is in response to Poncho... right?

I understand your intolerance. However, it's address the situation properly and then advise (politely) in the proper way. I know how you feel, I used to be that way. Some might say I still am.

Imagine this: Someone creates a new thread asking when Halo 2 comes out. I will tell him, "May Eighth of 2007" and recommend that he read the forum stickies. If someone double posts, ask that person not to and inform him or her of the edit button.

The only time I would't really mind if you flamed someone is if they showed an unprovoked disrespect towards you or the community. If some jackass triple-posts, saying "i dont haef to listen to u 4-m nurd u prolly eet crossnts all dai u fatt tard lolololloololllooll," then by all means, unleash a can of verbal whupass.

Besides, not everyone is perfect. You can't honestly expect people to even know what a sticky is. Let them learn from their mistakes, and if they make them again, then I would consider it appropriate to tell him that we don't tolerate jackasses.

Of course, someone like Iggwilv, being a benevolent of amiable hospitality, will probably tell me to leave any would-be disrespectful jackasses and trolls to the moderators and try to be kind to those who do show respect.

Don't ever call me a "kid/teenager" again, please? And secondly I don't want any "bad blood" between us over something as trivial as this. But it is unfitting to ask a question that has already been asked and aswered over, and over and is stickied, as many above me have pointed out, hey even you pointed it out.
