I was playing halo 1 and i shot my pistol at a banshee in the level halo and the elite jumped out for no good reason. he was smashed to bits by his own banshee and maybe some elites never passed the DO NOT PUSH THE BUTTON test.

Slaying noobs since 2007.

lo, bet that was an easy part of the game to win. I get respect from the ai but never had so much respect that they are willing to kill themselves so I wouldn't have to.

Lol one time I threw a grenade at a marine in Silent Cartographer, and he jumped right over it and flew about 75 feet in the air.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

That's hilarious. I've heard about Elites ditching their Banshees before. BTW nice numbers!

I haven't experience that before, but I have experienced these:

Elites jumping into grenades,
Elites running towards their comrades, instead of running at you,
Grunts screaming not again and then flailing wildly towards you,
Flood with no arms kicking me in the shins, to have the babies eat me,
And last but not least:
Getting out of my warthog, only to have it run me over.

One of the most amusing experiences I've ever had in Halo:

Start up Halo (the second level). Hide behind the large boulder on the other side of the bridge. When the Covenant forces land, wait a minute or two until an Elite begins to walk across the bridge. When they are half-way across the bridge, get out of cover and pop off a few rounds at his head. The result will end up with the Elite side-stepping off the bridge to meet an untimely fate in the waterfall below.

Good stuff.

It's even better when you throw a grenade at the elite's position. He goes flying off in one direction and is basically gliding down to his doom. Same thing for that peninsula-ish thing in Truth & Reconciliation's dropship dock. Throw a grenade in the middle of it when there are like, 4 elites on it.

Jumping on sentinels and flying around is always fun. Also on the level halo, while you are crossing the bridge, it is possible to jump down to the lower part. From there you have no way up, but the banshees love divebombing, and you can get them stuck or confused really easy.

I remember this one beautiful moment I had in Attack on the Control Room, I was in the area just before the wraith, I sniped a few of the elites and they all fell in a nice pile along with a few plasma grenades, so I threw a plasma grenade in the pile but just before it reached it I shot the Wraith, it moved over the pile of grenades just before my grenade set off the chain reaction, I have never seen a destroyed wraith fly up into the air so far, if only the grunts near where it landed could have been crushed.
Oh, and who can forget Spec Op Grunt sabotage, you stick one then they run back and kill its allies and then their elites get killed by the fuel rods fail safes, awesome.

Agreed.
And something I found funny was when I was playing the truth and reconcilliation, I kept blowing up a shade and it fell of the cliff, but it was standing there and all ai bots tryed to get to it and fell off.

On time, on the first bridge in AotCR, I went to the bottom level, and the red elite atacked me. I shot it a few times and it took cover behind a pillar. I took cover on the other side of said pillar, reloaded, and waited for my shields to recharge. When I jump around the corner, I expect to get hit by a hale of plasma bolts. Instead I meet empty air where an Elite should have been. Puzzeld, I looked over the edge of the bridge. A few hundred meters below me, sprawled on the canyon floor, I see the body of the elite. I guesse it prefered suicide to being killed by my bulets.

I remember once I was playing, an elite went in for a melee attack. I moved out of the way at the last minute and he hit and killed a grunt. Then I assassinated it.

with me it was strange when i was playing the first level once i remember that an elite was standing blasting at me when i shot him
and he went flying up into the air and just before he hit the ground i smacked him with the butt of my gun
and he was back to the wall upside down i just stared at the dead body for about 2 minutes laughing
before blasting it with my pistol

its always fun when you kill an elite before he can animate, he dies but has to wait for his shields to go down and then immediatly drops dead.
or when you have 30 infection flood sitting infront of you doing nothing

hey I have a dumb bot story that was frikkin awsome i was playing halo 2 for the xbox, I was at this one area where i had to face a pare of hunters, it was in the temple and hunter #1 kills hunter #2 making it easier for me to take them out, seeing as i was completly out of ammo, well sort of, the only weapon I had was totally insufficiant for taking out hunters, well after the hunter team killed his partner, I actually managed to lure him into an area with a low ceiling, he was completly helpless, and I thought ZOMG THIS IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE XDDDD!!!!1111!ONE, and since the weapons I had wouldn't do jack to him, I had only one alternitive, start melee'ing like mad, oddly enough it actually worked, I had successfully beaten a hunter to death with my bare hands, and I have done it when a hunter was not inconvienienced as well, it was hilarious to see something as big and powerful as a hunter getting beaten to death by a human, and thats without the advantage of luring it into an area where his size becomes a weakness.

After I had rescued Captain Keyes from the brig in "The Truth and Reconciliation" Me, The Captain, and the Marines were heading down the corridors. At our First Covenant eccounter, The Marines fired at them. But the Captain was standing in front one of the Marines, and the Marine melted Keyes with a plasma rifle. This happened twice. One the third time, I got smart and shot all the Marines. Just goes to show what respect those guys had for their captain...

One time, I was facing two elites. I threw a grenade, and it killed one eltite. The other elite was smart enough to jump out of the way, but not smart enough to realize that "out of the way" was off the bridge and down a long drop.

I love it when that happens.
