i think its the truth and reconciliation one. the one where you have to rescue captain keyes and escort him out. except he keeps dying becuase he dosent understand the concept of hiding! what am i supposed to do when three sword elites run up and cut him down before i can do anything?

It's hard but you'll get the hang of it.

I usually try to hold onto the sniper rifle in this level. Of course in legendary it doesn't always work but if you can hold onto it there's all kinds of ammo for it in this level. I usually just walk up to the door and snipe them (invisible elites). Whatever method you use to kill them, you have to do it quick.

One other thing is to try and get Keyes to stay back as much as possible. Just go back down the hall to a safe distance and try to leave Keyes. He'll follow you but you can get ahead of him and buy a few extra seconds to make a dent in the enemy before putting Keyes in danger.

I agree with Kalzilla, try and hold on to the Sniper.........snipe the inviso Elites..........then you can choose to stay in the hallway like a baby.....or you can go all the way to the back of that room and kill everyone. Just start nading the doors to get rid of the jackals and finish off the grunts..........if you're in the back, just pay attention to the grunt needlers and plasma nades. if you're really hardcore, you can just stay on that elevated platform and hand out punishment there.

yeah. ok i got past the sword elites. so im at the part where you have to defend the raised platform but keyes wont come up and as soon as the doors open he gets peppered with a hundred needles by 20 grunts. tool. ill figure it out eventually.

Impossible? Seriously, TaR isn't that hard. By the way, always carry the sniper. It comes in handy for those pesky elites at longer distances. Oh, and anthoner thing. If you want Keyes to live, you have to take the fire for him.

on legandary by yourself it is next to impossible. my sniper ran out of bullets a long time ago, and i dropped it thinking i wouldnt be picking up any more ammo along the way. taking shots for Keyes on legandary is very much suicide. so either he dies or i die i still lose haha.

JADE STONE ROCKS

run as fast and as far in front of him and the other marines as you can......go into the room ,and I hope you always hold onto the assult rifle even if its empty.........as soon as you enter the room...throw a grenade over the elites heads.....they will turn to see it explode...while they are turning you should go right and take that elite out...the other marines will now be coming into the room......fire at both elites till they are visible and the marines will now help you kill them....put the fear of GOD into them.

Shoot them with a plasma Pistol Charge, then switch to a human weapon and shoot them, repeat as many times as needed,

I completed each level on every difficulty on each of the three profiles on my Xbox. I did it on co-op though =P It was easy though when you got the hang of it.

Wow, I remember playing it on that. It was hard! But after 10-15 tries, I beat it.

Keep your sniper rifle with you then entire level. Most times when ammo for it is running low, there is another cache of ammo in the next room. There is more than enough for Legendary. Once on Heroic I lost my sniper rifle just before the hangar bay thing and the rest of the level was much harder than legendary. OMFG SNIPER RIFLE.

Use grenades. Use them well. Use them like they're your children.. that didn't come out right, but you get the point. And as tempting as it may seem, never EVER stick yourself and run into the group. Or stick Captain Keyes. Although the latter is very funny.

Keep hold of your sniper rifle from earlier in the level. It makes killing elites (invisible or not) quite easy later on. Well, except for the Room of Death, even then it's still pretty damn hard.

Don't feed the monkey!!!!

If you want ideas on how to get better, go to halo.bungie.org there are tons of video's showing really good players going through campaign and doing some pretty amazing things.

Just hold the sniper. I usually use AR or Pistol, but the other Covy weapons are good as well. When you have to defend keyes, get in between him and the grunts. SHouldn't be too hard...they are grunts.

You'll always want to keep your sniper, as it has bunches of ammo and plenty of ammo pockets throughout the level. Makes the Hunter parts easier. Carry a plasma Pistol for the part where you just get into the ship. You NEED it. Other than that it's not that bad.
