I know that this topic has been brought up before many times, but after watching Final Fantasy today, I just can't stop wondering what Halo would be like as a full-length CG movie. Seriously, why hasn't Bungie jumped all over this? I would even help out if I had to.

I have already been secretly (not a secret anymore, obviously) working on a screenplay, storyboard, and graphic novel based on the books and game, none of which will be published or sold unless given the rights by Microsoft and Bungie. Has anyone else had these thoughts?

Sure, but not until theres a much better technology out to make graphics that are at least 500x better than that FF movie.

You have to admit though, FF had some pretty cool graphics for its time. Four years later, the technology has definitely evolved. Final Flight of the Osiris is proof that it has been improving.

Didn't see it, but yes I agree, its definetly better.
The only thing is, I'd rather have it look almost perfect.

I would love to see a halo movie, but none other than someone with as much devotion to halo as peter jackson's devotion to LOTR could pull it off. Video game movies to date have never been very good. i was really excited to see final fantasy, and felt a HUGE letdown as i left the theater, I would hate for that to happen to halo "the movie".

I put the word "i" in that post way toooooo much....

I think that the movie should be produced by Bungie's own Joe and Jason. Nobody sees Halo like they do. They are the creators of the Halo universe and should create the movie as well.

It would be so hard to make a Halo movie. Would it just be from the game or would it be an adaption from the books? Logically, it would be an adaption from the books and so it would probably have to be made into several movies. Whatever the case, it would be practically impossible to make it perfect, so no matter how good the movie is, it just wouldn’t please some people. It would be stinkin’ awesome though. Hey, we can dream, right? I seriously doubt it will happen, but I hope I’m wrong.

There is a movie coming out based on final fantasy 7 and it looks amazing and its all animated so i think it would be possible to make a halo movie just base it on one of the books preferably "The Fall of Reach" and if it sells good they can make movies based on the other books.

I don't think that it would sell. The plot of Halo is perfect for a book, say, and perfect for a video game, but I'm not sure if it would be great in a movie format.

As cool as it would be to see a Halo movie, there is no person that has graced this planet that can make a GOOD halo movie.

A Halo movie would suk and Bungie knows it. Unless they get a deal with the best producers and directers, then it would be good.

It would be great if Halo was made into a good movie. It just doesn't seem like watching the Chief go down corridors and lay waste for two hours is a good idea. For a movie, that is.

Well, the point of the game is kind of to make it into an interactive movie. It wouldn't be very much fun to watch something where you've seen it before, such as seeing the beginning of The Silent Cartographer.

SB-117

Sure it would suck if it wasnt pulled off perfectly but I would love to SEE what the fall of reach would of been like. Spartans getting slaughtered and a planet being completely run over. I voted "no", but I think if bungie practically did all of it it could be cool.

It would be good, but if bungie didn't do it the MC would fall in love with something and the plot would go horribly wrong e.g Pearl Harbour, the only good bit was thw big fight, te other 2 hours were boring as hell

I think movies of the parts in between Halo and Halo 2 as well as the Fall or Reach would be pretty interesting. That would have potential in the Halo community.

It took like 4 years to make the Final Fantasy movie, so just imagien how long it would take for a Halo one.

Obviously a movie about halo would make millions, maybe billions, if hundreds and thousands and millions of people have played the game, read the books, posted on this forum, and just simply been a fan, it would obviously make truck loads of money.
Why doesn't Bungie make a movie? How do we no they arn't? Then again they're a GAME company, not a movie company...

I say that if they make a Halo movie they should make a short Halo film first to see what peoples reactions to it would be. The short movie should be, say, 45 min. long. And alos they should only release it on dvd at first. I think that would be the best way to do it.

Well all they have to do is buy the dvd kit for their Xbox and they'll be good to go.

the only good halo movie there would be is "Halo the Fall of reach" cos its got all of johns life in it all the way up to Halo the other books stink quite frankely especially the second "the flood" but the first also has naval battles in with plenty of tactics and millions of cliffhangers. So make a fall of reach one which will be the best film of the year but please dont make the other books because it will ruin Halos franchise. Face it Halo will be a one movie film and it has to be fall of reach, we have the game for Halo the flood and halo 2 for First strike
