I have no clue what you mean with this. Bungie has clans? What?

Do you mean Groups? If so, No, I found that groups are better than Public Forums.

1. It was just me and my friends.
2. you can talk to each other individually.
3. You can talk about absolutely anything.

It's not a battle of "Which is better?", Gamerz, he's asking if Bungie.net was better with groups..

Bungie.net will get the groups back.. If you like to hide in your groups, fantastic. Public forums are your taste? Sweet. But the repeat threads about groups are getting a little irritating. ;)

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

B.net does have clans, but I believe that you are talking about groups, a term that encompasses both "chapters" and "clans."

A "clan" is a group that is linked to a Halo 2 or other gaming clan, and the group's purpose is to discuss strategies, online meetings, tournaments, etc.

A "chapter" is a group that is not linked to a clan and may have another purpose such as to discuss old school Bungie games, outside topics, or just to be a place where you meet up with friends (like GamerzProperty said).

And to answer the question, I agree that b.net is better with groups. Many groups were rather useless spam-havens, but I was involved with some groups that had a real purpose and actually served as a great supplement to b.net. I can't wait for them to come back.

Clans are still here! they just no longer have Clanmatches, but Clan stats still remain, find a link to ur clan in My Stats.

"Chapters" aren't here, temporarily. they'll be back. if that's what ur asking, i have to say that they were more lonely, but better when groups were still around.

I am just waiting for the chapters/groups to come back while quickly going through most of the forums.

Hmm let us think. About 50% of Bungie.net's members are Xbox live players and Bungie fans, 25% of the members are Halo players advertising tournaments on live and just hanging out, 10% of the members are just getting into Halo, and 15% of the members are other. (These are just estimates)

So clans support the population and help attract players to the site.

i don't think he means actual clans.

because B.net doesn't really have 'clans'. it has CLAN STATS. and CHAPTERS! Which are sometimes mistakenly called clans. or purposely, when they are linked to a clan.

if he did mean clans, then yes, most people have XBL, so we need them around.

I am still flabbergasted as to why clan matches and stats were removed.
