The games are backwards compatible, why would they remake them?

Would it really be important if Bungie remade a game that was still playable on the Xbox 360?

Fear is the Mindkiller

Because it would put a new lease of life into 2 great games. Even if they were just re-done and bundled with Halo3 as some kind of box set. It would be awesome.

That's like asking if Nintendo would remake the very first Mario game for the Wii.

I work here: Sound Devices, LLC. We make bad-ass field audio gear, and you think that's awesome. My messy desk (With work-related items on the computer screen).

One does not simply grenade jump into Mordor...

My guess would be a strong "no". Like everyone said, those games are playable on the 360 anyway. Bungie/Halo fans would be smart enough not to fall for a repacking gimmick. Plus, all the official statements from Bungie (i.e. the news items) are colored with the language of, "This is the end of Halo". I forget if it was a Bungie or Microsoft press release about the 2 new maps, but they said something along the lines of (I paraphrase), "This is a great way to say farewell to Halo 2". It definitely seems like Bungie is trying to be very tactful about letting us know that more Halo related content (After H3) is highly unlikely, without making us loose interest in Bungie itself. Just my feel of the situation.

how would it be any different, other than less lag on some maps?!!!

you CAN ALREADY PLAY THEM ON A 360! so what's there left to do? personally, i'm upset by Bungie's forced moving forward towards the 360, after all, Microsoft is really pissing me off. First, Vista, the slowest operating system since ME. then, Halo Wars, being made by ANOTHER company that Microsoft owns! Now, everything is for the 360 ONLY! so unfair... Microsoft really wants power over Bungie, don't they?

I know there are a whole load of people that would buy it, but does anyone know if it's likely?
