Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.
Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.
I don't have a 360 controller, but I do use a Logitech Rumblepad from time to time. I think you have to set the controls manually. Go into Settings, then Controls Setup. Where is says Device: Keyboard/Mouse, click the left or right arrows beside it. If it shows your controller, then you can configure Halo PC to use it. On the left click each function and set a button or direction for it. When you need to go to the next section click the right-arrow next to Category. These settings should most resemble Halo Xbox (sorry if I make a mistake here):
MOVE FORWARD: Left analog up
MOVE BACKWARD: Left analog down
MOVE LEFT: Left analog left
MOVE RIGHT: Left analog right
LOOP UP: Right analog up
LOOK DOWN: Right analog down
LOOK LEFT: Right analog left
LOOK RIGHT: RIght analog right
FIRE WEAPON: Right trigger
THROW GRENADE: Left trigger
SWITCH GRENADE: Black button
SWITCH WEAPON: Y Button
RELOAD: X button
MELEE ATTACK: B button
JUMP: A button
CROUCH: Left analog click (push it in)
FLASHLIGHT: White button
SCOPE ZOOM: Right analog click
ACTION: X button
SHOW SCORES: Back button
Hope this helps!
