No, because it sure wasn't the shining piece of glory that it used to be. And it was all for a good cause anyways.

Yeah but it was still my ship and the thought of destroying it made me sad

It was sad because it was playing dramatic music at the time, and you see it blow up. I mean, well, your entire crew is dead...you think, and the fight wasn't over! Oh wait, that's a good thing.

I was more sad about killing off any humans left on Halo then blowing up that old barrel, I mean explosions are fun why do you think the UNSC grew to such an extent.

Not really, all it did was made me wonder where the master chief was going to do now, halo is dead so is captain keyes and the pillar of automn. Until halo 2 then I was filled with joy!
<(^^<) (>^^)> kirby is happy too :)

The best part of MAW was driving the Warthog. Actually, driving the warthog in that level might have even been on of the best parts in that game.

Well you have to remember, destroying the PoA was necessary. You wiped out thousands of Flood and a ring of the Halos.

  • 04.14.2007 6:56 PM PDT

Most definitely. Especially when I saw it was infested with Flood. The Pillar of Autumn was like home to me. So many good memories. Most of those memories were kicking Covenant butt.

When I heard Cortana say we had to destroy the Pillar of Autumn, my first reaction was, "you're crazy, -blam!-".

I had the same feeling when I saw the Enterprise crash in Star Trek Generations. Seemed like it struck a sword through my heart. I couldn't sleep for weeks.

You can bite me if you have a problem with my OPINION!

Halo: Combat Evovled was my favorite game ever, and I've been hooked on Halo ever since.

*Ahem* A-u-t-u-m-n, Autumn. I really wasn't sad at all. I just blew up Halo and beat the game. That final scene where the Pillar of Autumn explodes and Halo flies apart was really cool.

Well let’s see… plasma bombardments, huge firefights inside the ship, ending in a 100 million degree explosion all on a cute (it just came to me) and little ship. What do you think?

  • 04.16.2007 7:09 PM PDT

no, its a game. why would i get sad?

No,because it was captain key`s ship and since he's dead in level 9 (keyes) he wont care if the ship is destroyed.

the unsc could always build a bigger better ship to replace the old one. the pillar of autumn did go out with a bang....heh such a great ship deserves such an ending to its service. especially given the curcumstances.
