When are you too old to play halo 2?

  • 04.13.2007 9:45 PM PDT

I wouldn't say one is ever "too old" to play Halo, but there does come a time when one must have priorities other than Halo. For me, that day came when I turned 17 and I got a job... and I'll be in college in just a few months, and I have so much other stuff going on that I can't really get on Halo much.

Idk, I think one is "too old" whenever he or she has too many priorities over Halo.

See, this is the Video game generation basically. There will never be an age where we can't kick back and play a game of Madden. Halo, on the other hand, will eventually die out, where as game's like Madden will always be there. So I'll never be too old for video games in general. They are relaxing. Halo isn't a priority for me, and never really has been. I've had a job and school to handle, Halo and other games were just for off-time, and they will be for a long time.

Put it this way....those people who created the first video games...How old are they now? They're still playing. I think its crazy funny sometimes when I hear some squeakers on LIVE telling me I'm too old for video games. I literally grew up with video games since the 70's. I believe that makes me a true member of this "video game generation".

....wow, ..... the 70's....slapped myself in the face, eh? I would almost like to see a log report of some sort on the time that I've spent on games. Then again, probably not!

I know one guy who's 60. Even if he is lying, you can tell he's old by his voice anyhow. I deleted him like a month ago 'cause he scared me. Then he showed up in a small game I was playing on Headlong today and I quit the game quickly. Me scared.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Recon Number 54 and Marty O'Donnell still play Halo, and they are so old that their fingers creak on the controller.

No matter what age you are halo, halo 2, and the upcoming halo 3 will never be a game that has its users thinking they are too old to play it. on the game case, it says ages 18+ . If you have priorities, get them done, or at least wait for the weekend to role around

old people on video games scare me too because they seem like child molesters

Wow, what old people do you play with? Because it sounds hot...

  • 04.14.2007 5:35 AM PDT

i say ur never too old for anything unless its like physicly impossible

and ur definately never to old to strap a flaming blue explosive to someones face watch them freak out for 2 seconds then explode (or play halo as you guys put it lol) as long as ur not cutting out the things that absolutely need to be done first (like letting ur kids play :-D )

I said, "ages 20-30" because of this. If you play all freaking day long, yes 20-30 is way too old. Get a job, well no one should play all day. If you are 20-30 and you play sometimes, then that's okay. 31-40 is way pushing it. 41-60, okay man u need a life.

If I don't see you, good afternoon, good evening, and good nite.

You're never too old to try a lot of things in life. I think that playing Halo, Halo 2, and Halo 3 will happen for at least 10 more years. I know that my 360 will be kept so that my kids can play when they're 12. Though, I still need to go through college and get married, I'm still going to hold on to my games so that they can understand where I come from a little.

hey i will turn 29 this summer and there is no way in heck that i will even think about stop playing games. Just started playing halo 2 a couple of months ago and i am totally hooked on it. I have to play a least 2 hours every night and on the weekends i'll play 5 to 6 hours at a time. I am definitlely a part of the gaming generation, in fact I still to this day have 3 systems that are over 20+ years old. Thats older than alot of the halo players on these forums. I am also a father of two and occasionally let my 5yr old son play halo with me but not in MM though.

Great post !! It really pisses me off that the brats think us older guys write software games only for the brats to play. I guess the brats never engaged their brain and realized that software engineers and software designers are as old or in my case older than their fathers. One day they will realize that its more likely that us old farts created the games for our selves and decided to let the brats play OUR games ! Its the "OLD" guys that are the real gamers, we were playing them before the new kids were born and they are just "johnny come lately's" to us.
