Subject: When are you too Old to play Halo

Age does not determine when you should stop playing. When someone is so addicted they talk -blam!- about how good they are at a video game (of all things in the world), that is when they need to quit and do something else with their life.

No one likes a smart ass.....especially another smart ass!

As long as you can keep your priorities straight, there is nothing wrong with gaming at any age.

Exactly. You're never too old to play. The average age of the gamer is rising all the time. It's only kids who think they are the only ones.

Monkey Man7777 can mostly be found playing some form of Halo when present on Xbox live. Watch out for the Grenade Launcher aka pro pipe its one of my favs.

Hmm...I would'nt ever say, "one is too old to play halo," but if I had to make a choice i would say. You would probably be to old to play halo when you were dead...yess.... sounds about right.

Put it this way....those people who created the first video games...How old are they now? They're still playing. I think its crazy funny sometimes when I hear some squeakers on LIVE telling me I'm too old for video games. I literally grew up with video games since the 70's. I believe that makes me a true member of this "video game generation".

....wow, ..... the 70's....slapped myself in the face, eh? I would almost like to see a log report of some sort on the time that I've spent on games. Then again, probably not!

Great post !! It really pisses me off that the brats think us older guys write software games only for the brats to play. I guess the brats never engaged their brain and realized that software engineers and software designers are as old or in my case older than their fathers. One day they will realize that its more likely that us old farts created the games for our selves and decided to let the brats play OUR games ! Its the "OLD" guys that are the real gamers, we were playing them before the new kids were born and they are just "johnny come lately's" to us.

Well, here's one whipper-snapper who would actually rather play with a crowd of geezers, old pharts and decaying elderly persons, primarily because they are the ones who dont pitch whiny fits when they lose and scream and yell and fuss and run to momma.
They just call thier faveorite expletive and leave it at that. My Dad has his own signature curse, too- "sh- cr- f-! " he says, but you can usually tell when he means it and when he's just complaining good-naturedly because he got wasted... again.

I would say never. It's like saying older people can't play video games. Now, trash talking about being "little kids" "with lighter voices" that's a different issue. They basically interpret our whole personality on voice, adults should know better. But seriously, how can we be judged on age? We didn't choose when we were born.

I swear it wasn't me, It was....

Once you are 30 you have a wife and kids. You have more important things to do than play halo

Correct, but when you are in your 50's that's all over with and you can beat your grandkids at Halo 2. That's what I am talking about !

While you're never too old to play, there is a point in life where priorties begin to come in to play that severely cramp your ability to play on a regular basis.

Back in high school, my friends and I would have Halo parties every weekend, and whenever they were at my house, my dad (who's 45) would come down and kick it in a few rounds with us (he pretty much sucked, but he was paying for the massive quantities of soda and pizza, so we let him), and he's played through the campaigns in both games. You're never too old to enjoy video games.

You can never really be too old to play, but when you get to your 60's, it gets a little awkward.
I guess everyone has an inner child in them!

Leave no man behind. But be prepared to stand alone.

I'm happy to see the overwhelming majority of voters say "Never". I've got a slogan---"game till you're lame, then adapt and overcome."

You can be 80 and still be playing Halo 7 (which will have a direct connection to your brain).

It's a frigging video game... you always have more important things to do, no matter how old or young you are. That doesn't enter into it.

I think this question should be "How young is too young to play Halo 2?" There are way too many yung'uns playing-cussing, and screaming, and talking about their spelling tests at school. I'm 25 and I think you are NEVER too OLD to play- but possibly too young.

Actually, the question isn't when you're too old to play but rather when you are too young...think about it, it's true.
