I know the title of this thread sounds awfully provocative, but before you decide to just impulsively click the "Reply" button, take the time to actually read this.

There is a major issue with Halo: The Flood, that has bugged me for a long time, and I must get it out. Allow me to present two excerpts from Halo: The Flood (take note of bolded and underlined words).

"What's the matter?" Sergeant Parker demanded of his troops, several of whom were looking longingly at the fast-approaching Pelican's running strobes.

He turned to Sergeant Parker and said, "Hold you men here. I'll be back soon--with the Captain."
She started to protest, then nodded. "Just don't tell Silva," she said.

Hang on, did Sergeant Parker suddenly get a sex change in six pages while on the Truth and Reconciliation? What's up with that? It's not just Sergeant Parker, Lieutenant Oros managed to get time to seamlessly change between the male and female sexes!

Oros had a small, pixielike face which belied her innate toughness.

He paused then added, "That's the good news."

Weirdness, anyone?

Continuing on to machine changes, in Ghosts of Onyx (while this one is less noticable because i noticed those other ones you guys talked about on my first read, this one took about 400 times through.) The 3 Onyx base A.I.'s are all smart A.I.'s Yet they get on to their third one in around 18 years, Dotn they have an operational span of 12-15 years aproximatley? Also, the second one ____ Winter ( cant remember first name) During the Augmentation progress of the Gamma Spartan III's Yet less than a month later the main Spartan III states that the new A.I. had been teaching them for a long time.

a. can anyone tell me the pages of what the oringal post was in the book
b. smart AIs i think have at most 9 years. but regular 7, i think
c. Ghost of Onyx i think was something that they had to make quick because of someone elses novel they wrote that almost made it, in my opinion. ( i think this also because there were some mistakes in there that i noticed right away)
d. again GoO was a little confusing on the AI part. and does anyone else notice in GoO that there are still like around 250 S-III still alive.

The Master Chief and the other characters flew in on the Longsword but, Cortana crash-landed the Pelican first, so later they went back to the hangar to get supplies from the Pelican.

Posting on bungie.net should require that the user has had to have read a chapter book all the way through.

WTF lol

B a n a n a s

To tell you the truth, Bungie ( or whoever had the final editing control over ALL these books ) honestly sucked, pretty bad...

I cant remember the amount of times in the newest novel the letters USNC ( United Space and Naval Command...or something like that) were distorted into UCNS ( united...controll...nation secruity?) or UCNS...

They really didnt take a fine comb to most of their books. Either theres some organanization their hinting to, or they just plain cant read!
