Yesterday my lil 5 year old sister asked me "can I play Halo too?" She wanted to learn how to play so I put in Halo CE and handed her my controller and started it up. Than I looked up and realized she couldn't play with the big controller, her hands were to tiny, so i had to plug in the small one (that gives you an idea how little she is) Than i went to Blood Gulch and had her find and kill me. This improved her aim (She was having trouble looking up, down, sideways) than she tried driving and it impressed me,Than she said as she was walking by the Wort Hog (I'm tired of walking can i drive this?"... she ran me down after 4 tries.
After that she played AOTCR and got to the first bridge

Point of this topic - does anyone have other ideas on how to improve her?

had the same problem with my cousin, the pitch thing.. you should try both inverted and normal.. and letting her play a bit more..

-if you get Live and Halo 2..we can let them be guests and watch the chaos of them trying to frag each other..

to give her an idea of what the game is like, get a sniper rifle. Go onto Blood Gulch, and everytime she runs across open ground, headshot her. that will teach her to use cover. Worked for me.

(-blam- this is old)

I'm still trying to teach her how to play, although i only see her like 2 days a week. She has greeatly improved on looking around, the sniper rifle is a pretty good idea, she doesn't have that good of reflexes, and i'm finding it hard to teach her about her shield and ammo, if anybody has more ideas please i still need the help

play legendary co-op with her. She will be up against the enemy at their best and will learn to use cover more quickly. And if she dies..you can spawn her and give her another crack at it. Also, point out the spots where u can pretty much take any of the aliens down without them getting a shot on you. For example: Truth, the part where u ambush them at the grav lift. Have her stand right behind the left side of the rock right before the area opens up. The aliens will keep shooting her but hit the rock. only 1 out of every 100 shots might hit her, but since yur shields recharge..she will be quite safe. Meanwhile she has perfect head shots on everyone. Also...have her master the plasma pistol. In the hands of someone who knows how to use it...the plasma pistol is perhaps the most all-around lethal weapon in the game. Pick up one of those special first person shooter controlers(They kind of look like two small handguns wedged together. This will allow her to never take her thumbs off the control sticks. Also the trigger is easier to pull than on a normal controler. Let practice her rapid fire with the plasma pistol. With enough practice, she may be able to fire faster than those legendary jackals. When she breaks the spring in the trigger of the controler...you know shes ready to transfer her skills to a normal controler.

I took her to blood gulch and shot her numerous times, mostly in the leg to keep her moving, It helped a little and taught her about sheilds. Than my brothers wanted to play and they hunted her down and killed her every time she responded. She had three kills at the end of the game...the legandary idea is good i'll try that next...
