I love the new hotness, but I would like to no have to wait for the groups to be brought back online, ya know. I have heard a lot of talk about how amazing the new hotness is and that groups the last thing that is missing. Well, why not wait then. If they are really that amazing, shouldn't we just wait for them. The old hotness wasnt bad enough that immediate change was necessary.

Or is there something I don't know.

So.. If I'm understanding you properly, you would rather have the Old Hawtness without groups, than the New Hawtness with groups? Groups would be offline anyway. It's either old hawtness w/o groups or new hawtness with groups. I'd choose the latter.

I rather wait and get the new hotness and groups. And have us simply wait with the old hotness without for however long, and then get everything in a wonderul awesome explosion.

I would rather have stuck with the old new hawtness (with groups) than be here.

No matter what you do in life, you will disappoint someone.
No matter what you say, you will offend someone.
No matter what you think, someone will think you're an idiot.

Find and eliminate these people.

At this point, I'm just picking whatever option gives me back my groups. I love those things, and Bungie.net feels pretty dull without them.

Yep. That's the word for it.

It's probably not that you don't know, but rather that you just never really thought about it. Check it out from this perspective:

The new site is not just a new "skin." It contains a hell of a lot more "under the hood" than we can aesthetically see. Much of it has to do with data collection and display of stats for Halo 3. As we all know, the Beta will be sending massive amounts of data to Bungie and they need a way to collect and organize it. Furthermore, according to Sketch, users will also be able to see some of their stats from Beta along the lines of the stats that we can see for Halo 2 now.

For the above reasons, the new site had to be implemented before the release of the Beta. Groups, however, are a lower priority than the Beta and thus are not a necessary feature of the new site. They will come back when they're ready, and I urge everyone to have patience. I want to see them back as much as you do, but I'd rather see data collection for the Beta run smoothly so that Bungie can best use it to make Halo 3 an awesome game.

Just try to keep the larger picture in mind and I think you'll find that it's easy not worry too much about the groups coming back.

Sorry Squirrel, but it's too late for that now. You should've asked this question months ago.

I should have, I was simply doing this for retrospective points of view. For a better decision in the future.

I agree. From Bungie's perspective, groups have the lowest priority. It annoys me to have to wait, but I understand why they are trying to get this done correctly. The Halo 3 BETA is far more important to them than private groups, and I don't blame them. After all, they want to deliver a great product to millions of consumers.
