If Bungie was to make a new Halo game, what would you like to see? Personally, I've had an idea roaming in my thoughts for some time now. It would be called something along the lines of "Battleground: Halo". It would be a multiplayer-only game, which would include the standard gametypes such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, etc. Here are my thoughts.
- Fully updated current-gen graphics
- Provide both local, system link, and Xbox Live multiplayer
- Contain ALL Halo franchise multiplayer maps and weapons (Bungie-Approved VERSIONS) ever created, and a few new and award-winning user created maps
- Provide cool new features and customizability options which include:
-- Fall Damage adjustments (percentage) - with fall damage on, maps that include things such as man-cannons WILL be disabled
-- Gravity (like Halo 3's option)
-- Visibility (like Halo 3's option)
-- Choice of either Mark V, VI, VII (or whatever armour MasterChief uses in Halo 3), Elite, Elite Honor Guard, and Arbiter skins (all with choice of different colors and emblems)
-- Wide array of weapon presets (pending on weapon catagories chosen for custom games, the spawn points will be chosen by a series of different combinations chosen by Bungie at time of development)
-- Customization of HUD (colors, item placements i.e. shield, ammunition, etc.)
-- Standard gametype customizations
Also, there will be a gametype never before seen in the Halo franchise. That gametype will be known as "Survival". The way this gametype will work is, the player will choose a supplied multiplayer map, choose a difficulty (easy, normal, herioc, legendary) and once in the map, the player will have to repel and survive through wave after wave of enemy attacks as MasterChief. The enemies change and become more difficult as the game progresses, from a grouping of Grunts and Jackals, to Elites and Hunters, to Brutes and Flood, etc. The player will be supplied with random power-ups (if the options are on default) after every fifty or so enemies are killed.
In this gametype, you DON'T have to go it alone. The same multiplayer options go for "Survival" that goes for the standard multiplayer gametypes. You can play it either local, system link, or even Xbox Live. See who can last the longest, who can rack up the most kills, or if you change the default settings and give unlimited lives and set a timer instead, see who died the most.
I really think this game could work once the current Halo story arc is over. It seemed to work for Epic Games and their Unreal Tournament franchise.
Post your own ideas for a new Halo game, or add to mine.
