I get to the downloader in Halo 2, but when I try to download the maps I get an error message that premium downloads are not enabled. I have no child accounts on the box, and I've bought stuff through the dashboard recently. It's a 360. Any Ideas?
I had no problems, but my mate got the same error. He spoke to Microsoft, and they said (eventually) that it was because he had migrated his account from his xbrick to his 360, instead of starting a new one, and had had account control turned on before. However, the 360 has no ability to turn this off, because it has it's own system to control access for kids apparently, and he can't turn it off now. It is something that they can fix, so they are working on a fix for it, it'll just take a little time to get working is all.
I just had to say that for that guy at the start who is having that problem. And i must say I respect him for not having a sad. You notice how he was nice and calm, asked for ideas? The tone of the posts in this topic went downhill from there very quickly.
Bottom line :
Just be patient people, there's no use whingeing like a kid who wants his mother-blam!- chocolate milk when Bungie gave themselves two whole weeks to fix any issues before changing the playlists. Just wait and get them when the fixes are done. If you're that desperate, go play them on Halo:CE.
Grow the -blam!- up.
