The pistol is no hoax, and there's a death barrier above the map to prevent super jumps, etc.

Also, the pictures of the H1 pistol in H2 are here

How exactly do you get this easter egg?

buncha friggin' crybabies in this thread.

D/L'ed maps on both 360 and Original Xbox. No problems, although the 360 didn't get the maps until 11 am while
the XboX had em around 3 am. They play fine, they look good, well balanced, and will be a nice addition to matchmaking.

To all you kids whining about not having a credit card to get the maps, go to Kmart or WalMart and get a prepaid card.
problem solved.

I can't get them to download on my original Xbox. I've got a 360, but I don't play Halo on it. This is really pissing me off. I got charged just fine first try, but, I get a download error every time.

Did you try this?
Xbox 360 made it possible to buy a Live Account and Marketplace points without a credit card – so we apologize for the following inconvenience if you’re a 360 owner with no credit card attached to your Live account, but thanks to Halo 2’s olde school tech, this is the simplest way to do it:

Account Management

1. In the Xbox Dashboard, select the profile that you want to modify, and then select Account Management.
2. Select Memberships.
3. Select the membership that you want to update.
4. Select Change Payment Options.
5. Select Add Credit Card.
6. Enter the credit card information for the card that you want to add. This can also be a debit or Visa (or similar) gift card, however, some restrictions may apply.

One more for the "Premium purchase not enabled" issue. I might have turned that off on my Xbox, but you can no longer use the Xbox account management console (once migrated to 360) and there's no option like that in the new console. Family settings says I have no child accounts.

this is completely retarded, i have an old xbox, but i also have the 360, i play halo on the 360, but i cannot get the maps to download because of the same reason as everybody else here: premium purchases are not enabled. SOOOO... i got out the old dusty xbox, and recovered my account, and then i went into account settings, it asks for the credit card number, which i have and is not expired and i bought microsoft points with it last week so i know it works, i type in the last four digits like it asks and for the last 12 hours its been saying, network problems this is not available. My roomate recoverd his account on the same xbox, and went into account settings, and it let him in. he downloaded the maps. but i play on the 360. i cannot change the settings to get the maps on my 360. bungie, you effed up. badly. very badly. you should have waited a week to make sure this wasnt going to happen. terrible.

YEAH SO ADD ME TO THE LIST...in this forum, if you dont count all the people whining about matchmaking playlist or the 4 dollars or whatever else they can find to -blam!- about, everyone is saying the same damn thing

I'm getting the same response now that I've resigned my credit card to be my primary marketplace purchase.

Installation of content failed. See www.xbox.com for more support information.

I click download after about 15 minutes of just failing to purchase, it finally purchases the maps. However it now continues to fail over and over again without downloading anything at all. Exact error message is... " Installation of content failed. See www.xbox.com for more support information. " Putting download able content on a server in exchange of money on a credit card is not hard at all, I've done this with different things plenty of times. I find it sad that Bungie can't seem to understand the concept yet. :(

yeah, i went in there and there's already a creadit card added. it's not complaining about payment or saying the download failed, it's the premium purchase restriction that they had in the old xbox- i guess the setting still applies to the account even though there's no UI for it in the 360 (at least, nothing i've found)...

I agree with Beans Brown. According to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906922 all features of the old console are still available. It's just not true. The Premium Content restriction used to be an open option, now it's somehow tied to the Family Settings feature I don't use. I can't even figure out how to enable a child account to see if that would work, but I shouldn't have to create additional accounts just to change a setting I used to change freely.
