Guys don't get mad. The amount of people trying to download these maps is off the wall. Mine worked fine...first try no delays. If they tried to open another server they would first have to shut down the first one which would mean no downloads. Then it would take time to open up another one.
Actually that is incorrect. In most cases companies of this size have there main servers and backup servers. All that they need to do is open up the network to allow downloads request to be processed by the backup servers.
Here is the main problem. There is only a certain amount of upload bandwidth that a company can have. They probably have either a T3 line(44 Mb/s) or a OC-48 line(2 Gb/s). Most likely is the later, for the huge amount of bandwidth traffic to and from the servers. Therefore with the shear number of people trying to obtain the downloads and having certain Quality of Service standards (probably somewhere around 2 Mb/s) they must meet for the downloads, these lines could easily be taken up very quickly even if they have 30 servers with the content available for download.
Therefore when you send a request and the lines are full, the servers send back a request saying, "Sorry unable to do that right now". Then your system says that the download failed because it got that response from the server.
I know this because I am Network Communications major and I deal with this sorts of issues.
Basically either continue to try or wait a while, until there are less request being submitted and then try it.
