Subject: We Need Some Borders

I work here: Sound Devices, LLC. We make bad-ass field audio gear, and you think that's awesome. My messy desk (With work-related items on the computer screen).

So basically you're saying that the majority of your internet use is here at B.net. That doesn't change the fact that, if text links are too hard for you to click (Due to font size), then the solution is not a change in design of the site: You just need to tweak your browser prefs.

Try holding down Ctrl and hitting the plus key...

*sigh* Could you not consider the possibility that other users may have the same problem?
I'm not complaining for the sake of it, I'm complaining because it's on topic for the thread.

What I am asserting is that it isn't even a problem in the sense that you're implying that it is. You're implying that the links are hard to click and that that is a design flaw. I'm asserting that font size is a part of the design, but that the links you're referring to appear to be 12px, which is a standard size for fonts on the web. Given that fact, the font size being so small it's hard for you to click is a problem with your display preferences, not with the design of the site (In my opinion). If the font size were increased to 14px or 16px, it would help you, but I'm sure a lot of people would then find it too big and obtrusive...

I find that this website has been engineered with the skill of a team of artists. I don't really see any problem with it, borders or not. Either way I don't think borders would matter or effect the true purpose of Bungie.net: 1) Gain World Domination, 2) Illegalize Lumpy Pudding.

The entire website could be one giant black terminal with lime green text as far as I could care (maybe New Hawtness v?). The important thing to remember about Bungie.net is that it is for the sole intent of discussion. I don't think that a few borders could improve or degregate the social values or benefits of the community.

lime green text... terminal layout... *shudder*

that was the worst group layout... EVUR! no way am i hoping to see it back. i hope it died with Ye Olde B.net.

anyway, no, i like this site the way it is. perfect. what would borders do? sure, it's more noticeable, but no larger font. plus, you know you can change the font, in 'Internet Options', in the Control Panel, right? near the button, no matter what browser you use, there's a 'Font' button of one of the four buttons. click that. u can't change the font size, just the font, though. oh well. that's what Ctrl + is for!

Are you kidding? Marathon Terminal for the win! It should be the de facto of the group themes.

We should be a community without borders. First you want borders, then you want men guarding those borders, then electric fences, finally crazed hobos making contraband runs to other forums for people jonesin' for emoticons and add banners. Where does it all stop Matt!?

Hey Wegg...while you're out, I'd like a "h2 > h1" fanbar and a custom avatar please.

I'm on it. As soon as the hobo I paid in pickle juice jars comes back with my bootleg copy of Cortana does Dallas, I'll send him out again.

When did I ask for larger font? I merely suggested that we could use small boxes around the text links, as a visual aid for 'aiming' or clicks. Perhaps I was not clear enough; it's not about the actual size, it's about the visual size. Mostly. Having clearly defined 'edges' to the links would greatly assist me, a least. And I'm sure many others.

Gotcha. That makes sense I guess: So the text doesn't blend in with all the other text so much.
