Alright alright! I'm only 14 for christs sake! Give me a break! anyway, I don't think my PC's that bad, and I don't have enough money for a reasonably good computer!

Simple, don't post if you don't know what you are talking about, or want to be proven wrong.

why would anyone pay $5000 for a computer unless you were disgustingly rich? My computer altogether was $1100 and runs everything on high at about 1600xsomething resolution (Doom 3, Halo, CS Source, Half Life 2, etc.)

I am notdisgustingly richand have a $9,000 computer. I saved up for it, and the reason you Should want it, because it is superior to anything else out there in gaming, and everything else.

Geez man, 9,000? It's not a problem of saving up; it's that why would anyone in their right mind spend that much on a computer. what can your's do that mine can't that's worth $8,000.

Slaying noobs since 2007.

It depends what are your specs?

Let there be CHAOS!

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 1.8 Ghz each
Some power supply I can't remember the name of
2 GB RAM
320 GB Hard Drive
CD/DVD+-RW Combo Drive
ATI Radeon x1600 Pro 512 MB

I can understand a few upgrades like 4 GB RAM, a bigger hard drive, and even a better video card, but I can't imagine that all costing over $2000, if that. I'm just not seeing how a computer can even add up to $9000 (or even $5000).

Slaying noobs since 2007.

Here's mine:
Intel Core 2 Extreme (not quad)
750W power supply
4 GB Ram
500 GB HDD
2x CD/DVD+- RW Drives
2x nVidia 8800 GTX's
Creative Labs Fatal1ty
nVidia 680i mobo *LGA-775*
Water/Fan Hybrid cooling system *Homemade ;)*
There you go.

Two bucks says Bungie isn't doing the port.

Im gonna make a screenshot of that because maybe Halo 3 would be ported, and then say bye bye to the 2 bucks :)
I never said that nobody was going to port Halo 3 to PC, I just said Bungie wasn't going to do it. Gg. :P

Being able to save up enough money isn't the point here, anybody can do that; you just don't need to.

Home made? As in you built it yourself? Then why did it cost nine-thousand dollars?

But hey, I'd be willing to pay good money for a kick ass system like yours.

Actually thats the main reason it cost me a little more than expected, but thanks Kim! Oh and I can understand about the not needing to part, true, but I wanted an awesome rig, and thats what I got.

Something just popped into my head, so I thought I'd ask while we're roughly on the same topic. If someone were to gut a refridgerator, could he use the parts to create a cooling system for a computer? Too bad I can't go put my tower into the freezer, that would solve that little overheating problem heh heh heh.

Speaking of food and gaming, did anybody check out that PS3 converted into a George Foreman grill?

Ditto. How much does the best PC cost anyway, like, $5000?
More like $2000, give or take.

By the way, I'm fourteen, too. You don't have to be thirty to know this. :)

Wait you're just 14? Then I'm older than you...xD

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time. I know who you are. You are destiny.

I have a felling that it won't be ported over, seeing as the 360's graphics are far supirior to a computer's. And even if it did come out it would have to have a complete overhaul, so as not to use up all your computer's space.
Epic fail.
Zing! Master Kim is the true salvation to this lost forum! He will eat you and all you love, kids!

Don't follow in my footsteps; I walk into walls
my 360s blog

it will happen probably when Vienna launches in 2009/10 and show me a game that looks better than GOW that's on the shelf today

Did you know that due to my stupidty and slow learning issue that it took me about 13-14 times to get a decent cooling job, not even counting the times I got scared of killing my components, with it, that took another few times of trying to get it about 3 feet into the case. Not counting all the research I did into it. My advice is unless you know you can do it right, buy a kit.

i don't know why everyone is getting so excited about halo2 vista , number one we are not getting what microsft said that we would get for windows vista, some of us upgraded to vista and dx10 cards to find out halo2 vista is just another dx9 game, so what , all the hype just to sell vista and graphics cards,
why make a old xbox game just to play on vista , why not make halo 3 for pc , come up to the 21st century and give us what we expect with windows vista
a dx10 halo3 game , not a old game like halo 2 that everyone most likely played already on the xbox,
for one i won't buy it because i feel rip off from all the windows vista dx10 hype bull-blam!-... anyone who buys this game will be a fool!
put out halo3 on the pc like you supose to and then you talking a windows vista ready game...

Some people like myself don't own a Xbox so, we've waited ages for halo 2 vista to come out. THATS why we are excited. And if you've upgraded to Vista and bought a DX10 card then ur set for Crysis.

Why aren't they making Halo 3 for PC?
-Because Halo 2 is going to come out.
-Crysis will "give you what you expect"
-Halo 3 hasn't even been released on the 360, let alone the beta version
-I will be buying H2V and why should i feel like a fool?
-I hope you upgraded for other reasons then Halo 2, I've seen and used Vista and am happy with its features and layout, so i will be upgrading soon.
-Please explain what Microsoft said that we will be getting on Vista, that we haven't?
-You don't sound like an avid fan of Halo, which most people here are
-Sorry but i think your the fool

AND most importantly you FAIL
