Maw

Are we the new Zanzibar? Doomed to inevitable fusion with the Underground? A quick deletion for the sake of efficiency?

We are loosing our purpose. Halo CE PC aging, and Halo 2 Vista is irrelevant. Bungie's not making it It's not their problem. It would be oh so easy to redirect Halo 2 Vista to Microsoft Gaming Studios and Halo PC to the Underground; saving space and bandwidth for better things. A whole forum for that trivial "halo 4 pc" isn't necessary. Once deleted the space could be used for one of the scores of suggested fan fic forums. Everyone else would be happy, and nobody cares about those former Mawgoers. Why not? Consider yourself lucky to have made it this far.

The MAW is not going anywhere. May 8th this place will be hopping, in fact you will wish for the old quiet days.

We'd probably just take The Maw forum elsewhere then. ;)

Maw

But we would lose any advantages we have left of being on the Bungie web site.

We'd also gain a lot of advantages too.

But anyway, I don't see it happening any time soon.

Even though Bungie's not making H2V, they still have the whole Halo franchise. The Bungie logo will be included in the opening screens. So how/why would they remove the Maw or redirect us to some other site?

Things will probably be pretty hyped up for the next couple months, i mean i started posting on the maw like... last year this time i guess, and then it was awesome not many people, we had are fun ol' maw gatherings (thanks Igg) ever since I'd say October-November hundreds of new people have come around for Halo 2 Vista. i think it will stay like this for the next few months till probably october, then it will be back to the good old regulars =)

But we would lose any advantages we have left of being on the Bungie web site.

There's advantages? Crappy forum software, harsh repercussions for breaking "rules" like leaked footage, and your excess of noobs.

Agreed. Those things epitomized reprehensibly and explicitly right here on the MAW forum. Though not exactly... =P

You forgot the unofficial forum national-socialists who lay in wait all day for those unsuspecting thread posters, who commit "fatal" errors in grammar and reason, and jump on them like a pack of famished Uruk-Hai at the sight of "fresh meat."

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

If you think that Bungie's relationship with Hired Gun is going to be any different than Bungie's relationship (or lack thereof) with Gearbox, you are in for a rude awakening. Hired Gun will move on to other projects eventually, just as Gearbox did, and the game will rot. Sure this happens to all games eventually, but it will happen with H2V quickly, just as it did with Halo PC and Gearbox. If Bungie were more involved, the game would be better and would remain solid for longer. This is going to be Halo PC redux all over again, mark my words. Enjoy!

Yeah, but where Hired Gun is owned by Microsoft, as is Bungie, Gearbox is not.

Bungie would give as little or as much co-operation as Microsoft told them to. ;)
