This isn't another ' Why is H2 for PC going to be on Vista boo hoo ' thread.I ain't whining on it but I just want to know why exactly it is going to be for Vista.
Just that , is it my computer , or to other people get bad gaming quality with Vista too ?Like , Halo and all the other games run so badly and with low FPS with Vista , even when Aero disabled . I know that Hired Gun talks that Vista is more powered but is it just that the games right now don't support Vista , is it thats why they run badly or is it my computer or what ?
Can somone explain me why and how is Vista going to be better for future gaming ?
Can't all that high resolution and things not be with XP ? Why ?

1. Halo 2 will only be on Vista because it's taking advantage of the new "Windows Live" service that Microsoft is just making for Vista.
2. Probably your computer.
3. It's probably your computer, try downloading the latest video card drivers.
4. Vista will bring more options to the table for gaming in the future. - DX10, Windows Live, and a few others.
5. They can run on both XP and Vista.

Most of the PC issues posted here are the result of PEBKAC.

First, Halo 2 is going to be Vista exclusive because of Windows Live Anywhere.

It might be your computer, but some games don't work so well in Vista, but Halo should run fine. I get lag spikes every now and then, but usually it runs fine other than that.

Vista is new, and most video card drivers are beta, I'm pretty sure, though that most games that come out after Vista's release will run better than games before it.

Vista is better for future gaming because of Windows Live Anywhere, and DX 10.

You can run high res and stuff the same in XP. But I'm not sure if XP will have full DX 10 support.

Vista's background services and processes tend to take more system resources than XP ever did. Make sure you don't have any extra programs (IM clients, etc.) in the background and also try turning down the graphics settings within your games.
