Yes it will run, but it may lag ever-so-slightly. The minimum requirements (found in the Halo 2 Vista FAQ sticky thread) state you probably should have a 2 ghz cpu. Also (I'm not trying to insult your intelligence, but just in case you don't know), many other factors affect the ability a computer has to run a game. Ram, GPU, etc...

No...just...no...

If you want me to be specific about why this thread wreaks, we need things like RAM, Gfx card, HD space, you know stuff like that. Just telling us you have a 1.8ghz Sempron tells us nothing other than you lack knowledge of not only your specs but all common sense in general.

Ya, unlike nice old Bungie Jumping, I was insulting your intelligence. However, prepare for worse when TUI Obi-Wan see's this. I suggest you go hide in a corner, and never come out...ever...

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

What type of processor though, on a 1.87GHz P4 I would say it's lacking badly, but a 1.87 GHz core 2 duo or athlon x2 I would say it's more than fine.

The only (modern) chip I know of that runs bellow 2ghz are AMD's Sempron model. Which defiantly can't run it without lag.

That is why I did not say anything sarcastic or mean... he was asking a gererally simple, specific question that required a simple, specific answer. Flamers need not post. =)

I guess it was the memory of previous clueless posters that made others (No Refunds =P) react the way they did.

Try upgrading your CPU, but if everything else meats then you should be fine. But if you have high levels of RAM that can over rule the CPU, so next time post ALL your specs, it will help us make a more just decision on whether or not you can run it smoothly.

IT"S ON THE STICKIES. THE FAQ! READ IT AND SHUT UP!

Sorry but I'm sick of people making these topics, check the stickies so we don't have to deal with it!

In my local Wal-Mart they broke the street date and are already selling the Elites when its technical release date is like five days from now or so.

Yeah, I have heard of a few walmarts that seem to sell things before they are supposed to but I have never gotten lucky enough to have one that will do that.
I'm still iffy about the Elite though, I mean it seems like it would be an excellent system by itself but with so many 360 owners out there that have the premium, it doesn't seem like a good thing for them.

i heard that the elite wont be the last 360 (not xbox series, xbox 360 model), i saw on a review that it is missing some high def sound thingy, and that really makes it suc nads.

i bet ms'll update it one more time in a year or so.

i like how they made the whoel concept of the elite xbox. its kinda neat. but it sux for the hard core xbox addicts that got the premium versions and everythign the first day of release only to find a year later there's a beter one out. that's why pc's pwn!

Yeah, preach it!!!!!

At first it seemed so awkward that Microsoft would do such a thing as to divide the 360 crowd even more what with the premium and the core packs; it appears ridiculous.

ImSpartacus is right.

I have read all of the sticky's and i think that my computer can probably handle halo 2 vista... its just the graphics memory and stuff under the graphics bar below that i am worried about.... In the sticky here: http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=8791928 .... it doesnt say what graphics memory is needed, and it doesnt say what this: (Video Card: DX9 graphics card: WDDM driver, PS 2.0/32BPP, At least nVidia 6000 or ATI x700 or above)
means. please help..... thanx...
