If you want to see the MC die, play Legendary. If you want to see MC finish the fight, play Halo 3. If you want to see MC finish the fight by dieing, why did you waste six years when you could have done it yourself right now?

It's something that drives me crazy. The prime forum I go to on this site these days is the Underground. However, ignorant fools constantly go the first forum they see to post either their Halo 3 ideas, how they got cheated-ed, got caught modding and try to play the blame game, or they hate H2 altogether. It drives me crazy! There's more locked threads in the freeken forum then there are unlocked!

I'm not suggesting we change the forums themselves. Just the order in which they're shown. The current setup is like this:

Underground
Community
H3
H2
Optimatch
H1/2 for PC
HCE
Gallery
News
Voting
Classifeds
Flood

Here's the new order I suggest. I hope it will keep mods from having their hands quite as tied as they are these days (even though it's not as bad as it usually is)

H3
H2
HCE
H1/2 for PC
Optimatch
Underground
Community
Gallery
News
Voting
Classifeds
Flood

I see no reason why not to. If you see something other then "you're used to things already," please say something.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

I've always wondered why the forums were in that order. I also wonder whether that has anything to do with people posting their threads in the wrong forum. I'm not really sure about the answer to that question, but I don't see any reason not to change things around and see if they improve.

To be honest, though, I'm kind of indifferent. I always figured that the web team has a good reason to list the forums in that order, so whatever works for them is cool with me.

I was sure we changed the forum names to fix that. I say we leave it, I mean, do we really want half a dozen drunk ninjas with nothing to do?

Strange evolution how people have come to believe
That we are it's greatest achievement
We're barely, we're just a collection of cells
Overrating themselves

Its a hierarchical structure. Bungie General is on top, followed by the Bungie community, followed by forums relating to thier most recent games, followed by the Flood.

The current structure is how it should be, not because I'm used to it, but because it makes sense.

Bungie > Community > Halo

If you don't got it, you want it. If you got it, you want more of it. Of course if you don't know what it is, it's hard to get any in the first place.

Bungie > Community > Halo

Bungie Comes first. They and their fans are infinitely more important than anything as absurd as "The Halo Nation".

Why don't we just rename the Underground the "Not Halo Forum"?

It'd only create the best forum EVER, so if guess not if you're not into that sort of thing.

I wasn't asking why. I was petitioning to change that. I guess if you want to put into perspective, the Halo forums are the flavor of the moment. They will eventually be replaced. Bungie forums have a constant level of popularity.

If that question was serious, people still use it to talk about future project ideas which include the Halo franchise. It would be misleading.

I think we need to fix human stupidity, or perhaps make them all take a video literacy course (They'd have to watch through to the very end before posting).

By the way, that's a "No, I disagree." I can find the forums easily as is. I'm completely used to it. Switching the order would mess with my brain.

I like my brain.

That's not the issue. The issue is people posting in the wrong forums. A reading video course would be more specific. Still, that's another pressing issue we will never be able to fix.

I'm not sure. Most people posting on this forum already have had plenty of literacy courses, even if it would not appear evident in their postings..

They go hand-in-hand

So you want to change the order of the forums because people are posting erroneously?

I propose we actually make the Halo forums more difficult to find, and then impose harsher penalties for posting in the wrong forums.
Eventually, the only people who aren't blacklisted will be those of us who are capable of reasoning which forum to post in, hence solving most of our problems.

Thusly, I want to be able to post in the Bungie forums without people posting Halo threads everywhere. [;

Changing to that order would cause the forums to no longer represent the order in which Bungie was created (look at the forum ID's, all but the halo forum are linear.

What would be a better change would be to put the flood at the top that way when people join the forums and go to post in the forum at the top of the list their post is in the flood because they didn't read the forum descriptions and as such the forum would ather less garbage.

This idea is made of AWESOME and Posted A Hundred Thousand Times Before.
This is No. 2 on my 'Things to fix in the B.net Forums' list.
No. 1, of course, is 'Make A Halo General Forum'.
