Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Today! I'm posting this info in Widowmaker's stead, so bear with me. Any resemblance to Iggwilv's Maw Gathering thread is purely copyc... err, coincidental o_O

I. GENERAL INFORMATION

Who: You, the honorable members of the Maw!
What: Humpday Server Gathering
When: This Wednesday and Friday at 6:00 PM Eastern
Standard Time

Where: Clan «TUI» The Underground Insurgency (HALO CE IP -
8.6.76.63:2302)
Why: To have fun! Chat up a storm and kill your friends at the same
time! Bodybags are not provided, please bring your own.

Note under where I mentioned HALO CE. Not HALO. To attend the gatherings, you will
need Halo Custom Edition. HCE is a standalone game that requires a version of Halo
PC to run. It allows for a better netcode and the introduction of custom-made maps.
For more information, please read the sticky put together by Chewy
here.

You will need to download these files before joining the server if you have not
already done so ;)

Now a little history. What is a humpday? A Humpday Gathering is the «TUI» Equivalent
to the popular MAW~ Gatherings hosted by Iggwilv. They both function the same way.
Except our gatherings occur on Wednesdays and Fridays. The term "Humpday" was coined
from an inside clan joke, where I would often hump KllrGrl's corpse. She got tired
of it so she set days where I could hump her corpse. However, people started coming
on the server, and as our gatherings became more popular, we decided to do them
weekly. Of course, there will be no corpse humping whatsoever ;)

II. MAPS

Since our server is running on Halo Custom Edition, quite a few of our games use
custom player-made maps. Everybody who connects to our server during a custom game
MUST have the appropriate map the server is running. We usually have to deal with
alot of people getting disconnected during a map change because they do not have the
right map. To solve this problem, node357 has kindly put together a map-pack
containing ALL of our maps in one zip file! =D

DOWNLOAD THE «TUI» SERVER MAP
PACK - (260 MEGABYTES)

(I know I posted this above, but it's important so I posted it again.)

Now let me re-iterate. You need ALL the maps to attend. If you miss one, you might
crash out of the server, and that's not good. So PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE MAPS ;-)

In quite a few cases, you may already have some of the maps our server uses. So node
also compiled a list with links to downloading specific maps seperately. Here they
are
.

All maps must be extracted to the following directory.

-----C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\maps------

III.RULES

We are quite a bunch friendly people, patient and caring. However we still have
rules to be obeyed. Don't worry they're pretty simple.

* No Excessive Swearing - This is quite simple. Swear, but
don't overdo it, and especially if it starts being directed at somebody.

* No TeamKilling (TK) - You would have to really have the
intention of ruining the game to break this one. Friendly Fire is when you shoot at
your teammates. FF damage is disabled on our server, but there are workarounds.
Please don't do it.

* Base Camping - This is allowed strategically, but if this
gets persistent and begins to annoy the other team, we expect it to stop.

Failure to abide by these rules may result in a few warnings. Then we may have to
kick you off for a server time out. Make you wear a dunce cap and sit in the
corner...
And if it gets worse, and we see no improvement we may have to pull the banhammer
for a while. That is no fun. We don't like to ban people.

IV. MAP ROTATION - This is the current map rotation for our Humpdays.
We are currently open to suggestions =)

We do hope you have a blast! =D

QUESTION: do many people usually participate, as in a full server? If not, might I suggest that TUI host it in Halo PC (regular-like)?

Cheers.

And besides, the reason we have it in Halo CE is that so more people will actually play it... It gets ridiculosly hard to find a decent (non-rocket) server in there. Oh, sorry if this is already there, but how bout some Chiron TL34 phantom shotties? I heard it used to be there and too many people -blam!-ed..but..well......I just freaking love that game type. Anyway, I'll do my best to be there, if not on Friday.
