We'll get a demo when we get a demo. Probably after the game is released, and after Vista RC1 expires. If somebody was in the H2V beta here, they would be under NDA, and would not be allowed to discuss it.

The Halo 2 Vista demo will come out, however the release date for it is TBA. I would expect that the demo come out BEFORE the game, because that is the general trend with demos, in order to entice more buyers. I would expect a demo to come out mid-to-late next week, in early May.

If it did come out, would it be for XP aswell?

Why would they spend months and months writing a game to take advantage of all the new features and new hooks into Vista.... then turn around and spend another x amount of months to re-write the entire code to make a demo for a system that can't play the game...?

It would NEVER be anything that would make people go out and buy Vista *JUST* to play the game and it would only add more fire to the "well they made a DEMO for XP...why cant they just make the entire game for it...?" argument.

agreed, XP is dieing, just like windows 95 and windows 98 did, there is no point in trying to keep XP alive, and by the time some one rewrights the code for Halo 2 Vista so it works on XP, only about 10% of the USA would have windows XP as their OS.

^ That's a bit of a contradiction in it of its self. I think you meant that when someone rewrites the code so that H2V will work on XP, that only 10% of the US would have windows XP as their OS, right? Because it's dieing... or did I miss something?

"Berries and cream, berries and cream, I'm a little lad who loves berries and cream." ROFLMAO! Love that commercial...

What it is.

^I am pretty sure that's what he meant. Or at least i hope that's what he meant. Personally i won't think Vista will be the prime OS like XP now until about 2008 just because it takes a while to transition over...As for the demo, why even bother asking if it'll be on XP? Are you retarded? The name of the game is Halo 2 Vista. I don't see where people think a Vista-exclusive title can be ran on a different OS, it boggles my mind.
