sorry if this has already been covered, or if it's just pointless trivial spam, but why is the forum ID of the halo 3 forum 105242? when the others ascend in logical order?

I'm just looking for a straight answer, because I've been bugging myself ever since I noticed.

also, I don't want OMG IT's LEIk a HAl03 CONSPRIACYZORZ!!!!ONEONE!!!!!!ELEVEN!!111

it's probably just a technical answer, but hey

I could be wrong, but I think it could have something to do with all of the other forums that are/were on this site in the form of groups. All of those have forum ID's as well. The Halo 3 forum was made quite a while after groups first came out so it would have a lot higher ID number.

Note: Optimatch is 5576

This is correct. Note that the oldest groups have very low forum IDs. For example, The Marty Army forum is forum number 11. Many groups around that time no longer exist, but try randomly entering http://www.bungie.net/forums/topics.aspx?forumID=120XXX and replace the "X"s with pretty much any number. Then you'll see where the groups went!
