I believe it will badly run H2V , but when you're gonna upgrade , make sure you upgrade video card and RAM .

In the mean time I was going to add more RAM to my system to boost it up to the system requirements. My card falls under the requirements, as per the sticky. Everything else seems to match up, so if I do RAM I believe I should run the game fine. Just probably have to play on all low settings, which is fine for me for now. Hopefully I am right in my thinking.

Stickies are kept to a minimum because too many stickies and you lose front page posts quicker. I don't think this warrents a sticky because after about a month these questions will trickle off. It is good that we have been using this one and keeping on the front page. Thanks to all who have promptly answered. This kind of a post is what separates the MAW from the other forums in here. Keep it up.

I have an Apple iMac running Windows Vista Home Basic via Boot Camp:
2.0GHz Intel Core Duo
2GB RAM
Mobility Radeon x1600 256MB
Vista Partition has 5.99GB of available space (but I'll install on an external HD with 107GB of free space).
Is that enough space for temporary files (5.99GB)?

I'd like to play on "High" details on 800x600, or 1024x768 (high resolutions don't matter to me, anything around 800x600 is fine for me).

Well, we could make it an "Honorary" sticky. We just need to keep the thread alive and on the front page.

I think the "Sticky:Halo Custom Edition the free download that makes Halo SOOOOOOOO much better" thread should be taken down. The 2 year old behemoth has been doing nothing but collecting dust and has become a BS banter magnet. I've asked Recon to do so, but I think he's ignoring me (DENIED! I've also asked for this and the Gamertag list to be stickied). Anyway, like Obi Wan said, we'll just have to use our own methods to create a stopgap sicky, and keep it afloat the thread list on this forum.

Cheers.

Well, i have to agree, I'm quite capable of playing games at 800x600, anything lower sux. at 800x600 on a 17" monitor, your basically getting the same quality as you do on a normal 60cm tv. So if your quite capable of playing Halo 2 on a tv with your xbox, than you should be quite capable of playing Halo 2 on a 17" monitor at 800x600.

IDK what I'm writing on about, i just felt like doing it cause I'm bored. I too wish to play at highest detail settings, and am willing to sacrifice resolution (to atleast 1024x768 or 800x600) to play the game.

I'm playing it on a 20" widescreen lol

I know it will look a bit horrible, but its fine for me.

If Halo 2 can perform at 30FPS at 1680x1050 on an office PC I think our computers should do just fine at 1280x960.

I see you guys want to keep this running. Ill try to be on the threads a little later helping people out with their "problems", unless my update to it stops the "problems".

If any of you are planning on upgrading a piece of hardware in you pc check out Geeks.com . They have really good prices and if you order now you will probably get it in time for Halo 2 Vista!!

heh is it just me or is this thread kinda pointless, if you know enough about your computer to post your specs, you should be smart enough to check the minimum reqs for h2v. maybe im biased against people who settle for store-bought, underpowered (and overpriced) comps, i guess you might not know exactly what you've got to work with. still if you've ever played a pc game you know that if you have the bare minimum specs your qualitys going to suffer, but you can still play. ish

*so* funny to see people ask if their top-end custom rig can handle this game. really hilarious ill do it too! what do you think?

AMD Athlon X2 5200+
ASUS M2N4-SLI
GeForce 8800 GTS 320 Mb
4 Gb DDR2 800Mhz
2x 160 Gb WD Raptor
Windows Vista Ultimate

omg i dont know if i can run h2v cause i only spent $1100 and built my comp especially for crysis! help

k im not even really annoyed anymore im just bored
