is the ATI RADEON Xpress 200 series compatible with h2v
i know my 3500+ AMD athlon is compatible
and i have 1 gig of ram

First off, 1 gig of ram is the minimum. I would highly recommend you purchase some more. Your ATI Radeon Xpress 200 is not going to run H2V very well...if it will run it at all. Seeing as thats an Xpress chip = mobile/laptop you can not upgrade the graphics chip. Therefore you won't be able to play H2V on that laptop. Your going to have to buy/build a computer that will be able to handle it. My current computer can just run H2V on high everything, but it struggles. Ill be eliminating that struggling next week when I build my new computer :p

Hello, could somebody please tell me how well it will run on a computer with these specs?

CPU- Core 2 Duo 6600

RAM- 2 gigabytes

Video Card- GeForce 8800 gts 640mb ram

Two 250 gigabyte hard drives

Windows Vista Ultimate

I would like to know what settings it would run on and possibly what kind of frame rates I can expect.

Thank you!

Slaying noobs since 2007.

It will run on high, you could max out on it, and expect, well I'm not very good at guessing framerates, but if my life depended on it, maybe 75-85 fps. But I may well be wrong. Wait until Walmart, Static, or well, anyone else decides to give you a figure on the fps. But, it may well get at/over 100.

*DiNero voice*"Yeah, I'm talking to you!"*DiNero voice* :P And yeah, I know it won't have a problem at High Settings, but not completly sure about the kind of fps you will be getting, but they will be way better than a fair share I have seen.

Great. I wanted to know how this setup would work before I order the parts.

:-)

I might later on get a second GTS card in SLI mode, but I can't afford a GTX right now.

Thanks for the help!

Hey, I really want to get Halo 2 Vista, but uncertain about my laptop. So will it be able to run it?

AMD 1.6 GHz, x2
512MB ATI Xpress 1100 (so it would be around 256MB graphics memory) HyperMemory (Nothing special I bet, just a fancy word)
and 2 gigs of ram
Vista Home Premium

You won't have any problems at all. You will easily be able to run it at high everything. Don't worry about what kind of FPS you'll be getting. Im getting between 50 - 65 FPS with a Pentium 4, 2gb ram, and an 8600 GT. Im expecting yours to be close or over 100.

P.S.- The minute you get the money I would Sli that! Im about to finish building a gaming computer, all my stuff is coming this week!

You probably won't like the experience. Your processor and ram is probably fine, but the integrated graphics is a no-no.

I need graphics card info, My graphics card blows and the frame rate is terribly choppy.

What type of info do you want? Give us the specs of your computer so we can help you out...such as what type of gfx slot do you have? PCI, AGP or PCI-e?

Good! In a few weeks I can order the parts, and now I have room to buy a GTX. I might even be able to get a second card in SLI, since the power supply and motherboard will handle it. I've decided to get a 750 watt power supply rather than a pathetic 500 watt one.

C-c-c-c-c-ombo Breaker!

My build must be a friggin' mutant or somethin'

I gots
Asus P5N-E SLI - Which doesnt seem to like OCZ RAM
Pentium D 940 3.20Ghz - Which gets hot as hell =/
Corsair XMS2 Dual Channel 2x512 Kit (1024MB)
XFX GeForce 8600 GT 256MB - Murder for a budget price.
Western Digital 250 GB SATA HDD
Coolmax 450W PSU - Stays REALLY cool.

As for cooling, I got 3 case fans by PowerUp which suprisingly came with the case,
ThermalTake Silent 775D w/ Copper Heatpipes - No lie about "silent"
OCZ Silver Thermal Paste - Scary stuffs.

I put a bit too much thermal paste on the contact that sits on top of the processor, and
overheated it... thank whoever for the auto shutoff.

I can run H2 Single Player at around 50-60 FPS no AA, sometimes with crazy snags 'cuz
Vista's a ram-hungry whore, but oddly enough when I crank up the AA, the framerate rises...

Multiplayer is a different story though, at 4x AA, the performance plummets whenever someone
fires off a sniper round, but at 2x it just gets crazy at 100+ FPS on 1024 x 768 and only drops about
2-6 FPS per higher resolution. I'm gonna SLI with this card. It does pretty well on Lost Planet with AA off.

You'll probably have to force it if it's somehow turned on... Mine wasnt, but you could always crank up the refresh rate.

Haha, what would the people at MLGPro think if they knew you came to bungie.net?

Anyway, someone else said that we need to know what kind of graphics slot you have, PCI, AGP, or PCI-E x16. Yes, we do need to know that. We also need to know your current computer specs and your budget for a new card.

I'm buying a new computer soon, nVidia 7 series ( i think) Vista premium, 1TB of Hard drive memory, and thats as much as i can remember, and i know it'll run H2V!

When you have AA and all the other stuff on low, you are bottle necking the card apparently. (looked into it myself, I have the same card) So the same thing happened to me. I up'd resolution, detail level, and AA and it runs awesomely. For some reason I play multiplayer better then Single Player and in multiplayer there is usually way more action going on (I stick to bigger parties).

My new machine!!

EVGA nForce 590 SLi
Amd Athlon 64 X2 5600+ 2.8ghz (soon to be overclocked)
Kingston Valueram 2x 1Gb DDR2 pc2-4200 (older and kinda crappy)
nVidia e-Geforce 8600 GT (Only have 1...for now :)
Western Digital 250 GB Sata HDD
Antec Trio 550w SLi certified PSU

P.S - I feel that this thread needs to be resurrected. There are too many people once again asking the same dumb questions. Just come to this thread for help to try to eliminate repetitive and dumb threads!! If at all possible, would a mod please sticky this?

SLIing midrange cards is worthless.

However, it also applies to SLing high end cards. SLing midranged cards is cheaper and will still last you for sometime...however, SLing higher end cards that are extremely expensive will last you longer BUT simply waiting a month or two and that cards price could drop dramatically, only to find out that for the same price a few months back you can get a card thats twice as powerful. SLing midranged cards still gets you what you want. RIght now I can play H2V on just about high everything...with ONE card. I see absolutely no point in SLing two high end cards ever. My friend has SLI'd two 7900s and says he regrets doing it, mainly because if he had waited a month or two he would have been able to purchase a different card that was way more powerful and that was actually cheaper.

I am extremely satisfied with my 8600 GT, and will be even more satisfied once I SLi them and can guarantee the life of the cards even longer, but for way cheaper.

Why SLi two e-Geforce 8800 Ultras when one of those cards can play any game on high everything?
