I would like to know if anyone else is worried about Bungie's reputation, as far as updating and releasing when they say they will.
What I mean is, Bungie said they were going to release Halo 2 at a certain time, and they postponed it. There have been updates and releases for Halo 2 and other products that have been delayed due to difficulties or otherwise. The new Halo 2 maps Tombstone and Desolation aren't going to be added to matchmaking yet, and the stats aren't being reset, for another week now, although they said it was schedualed for this week (the 24th). I understand it's technical difficulties in communication or some technicality with Xbox Live, but what's to say this kind of thing won't happen with the Halo 3 Beta, schedualed for May 16th? What if "difficulties" arise, or they decide to postpone it slightly, and do reschedualing again? They could move the "beta end" date and the "beta release" date if need be. Is it securely this date?
I respect Bungie, and I don't mind waiting as long as it takes for everything to work out and be fully tweaked and fixed, but do you think I should worry about the Beta being delayed at all? Do you think it's a possibility? Like I said, I don't care about how long I have to wait. I just want to know if I can be so sure that they will keep up with their current schedual.
