If I've been seen by the enemy...

Run-n-gun.

If I haven't been noticed by the enemy...

Gun-n-run.

That's about it.

Lateral movement, in all directions.

When using the sniper in medium ranges, I like to soften them up with a bodyshot and finish them with the pistol.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

Always use cover.

Never jump.

Keep moving.

Aim, get red dot, lead, shoot slowly.

Don't shoot unless it will hit.

Shoot slowly for accuracy.

If they're being attatcked, they'll be too damn busy defending their base, so send everyone over. And take the road less traveled.

The real trick to owning on halo pc, is aiming at peoples legs. Dont aim at their head, that is pointless, duck down, be stationary and aim at the legs. If you are closer range maybe use the needler, but at long range you diffinitely want the shotgun. That is how I own all you noobs.

Lmao. Long range stationary 8gauge shotgun FTW.

This is Halo, not a Tom Clancy game. Stealth, although nice, is not necessary if you can just go up to your opponent and shoot them in the head.

However, it's always important to play differently and to play in ways your opponent would never expect. That gives you an element of surprise--not necessarily stealth, but something you can use to your advantage just as well.

Well, Master Kim, that seems a little narrow-minded to me...

...You see, if two people are the same skill level, and the amount of shots they land compared to the shots fired is about the same, the one who fires first will win.
That's not necessarily true. Perhaps you are right, but I would always prefer good aim over stealth.

I agree. After all James Bond would've sucked if he failed his accuracy test, and only passed his stealth test. =/

Stealth is good, but you also must know how to aim and shoot. If you can shoot well even in stealth, then you can do well in a fullout firefight as well. That's my two cents.

In Halo, Aim > Stealth.

Stealth is almost useless and impossible, times that you can sneak up on someone are rare.

Bull, I have done stealth runs before as long as there aren't more than 2 or 3 people at a base, and I got all 3 captures and a few deaths.

See? It is useful.

I only learned to use it after mastering Splinter Cell =P.

I enjoy using stealth to flank. In halo, stealth basically means running along the edge of a wall without shooting at people. For example, I often go through the tunnels to blue base in Bg, and come out the end guns blazing. I usually kill about 8 people before they get reorganized and kill me back. Its a great way to play, especially since they never seeem to expect you to come back in the same way.

Really? I try to avoid everyone.

Stealth is useful more when you're just trying to get the other team's flag.

Stealth is useful when you're not trying to blast your opponents.

That's what I ment.

I like those misinformed people who seem to think that just becuase they pick up the cloaking power-up, that they are invisible and no one can see them. It always cracks me up: "hey, how did you see me? I was invisible, cheater."

In a public server, I could probably drive to a base get in get the flag and get out, 9/10 result in a cap without using any stealth what so ever. How can you actually use stealth? In what situations are people actually not going to see you?

Well, you can do that because your Nessy, but I can use stealth, because when they are distracted I sneak in behind, but when they hear "Red team/Blue team has the flag" that's when I slip in a hog and haul ass and run evreyone over.

well my technique is to go for cover. try going in an obvious (but not too obvious hiding spot like, a small hole in a canyon wall or behind a bush) then i just go for the kill with A: sniper rifle B: pistole or C:jump out and blow head of wit shotty =)

i know this is off subject but u guys were talkin about invisability and then i remebered somethin that happend 2 me.
i got the camo and i walked by a few dudes shootin at team (this is in blood gulch) and walked in, so ff was off so i walked inside 2 see to blues wackin each other and shootin each other. so i took the flag walked up to them, they diddnt notice wacked both of their heads off.

HEHE

Indeed. It's active camoflauge, where in that do you see "invisibility"?
