Deleting programs will not give you more RAM - it will give you more hard disk space. RAM only stores information on what programs the computer is currently running. The only way to get more RAM is to buy more and put it in the PC.

You'll probably need a faster CPU, too.

To tell you if you can run Halo 2 vista I also need to know which video card you have and how much memory it has.

You could always overclock the CPU.

Let's see, you need another stick of 512 ram, your computer Athlon XP is really bad, you didn't even tell us your graphics but im ganna assume it's also a piece of -blam!-. You will not be able to run Halo 2. Btw do you have Windows Vista.

No. No. And No. Your computer is a piece of trash that will have problems running Vista, let alone H2V. Forget upgrading at this point, buy a whole new computer altogether to save yourself the trouble. I'm almost afraid to see what your GPU is...

Not with an Athlon XP. He might get 400 Mhz out of that... if he were lucky and had proper cooling.

no you cant run it. your cpu needs to be better, need more ram and you have to tell us your graphics card but from the looks of it, your probably wont run it to. please read the stickies, repeat threads do get tiresome.

C'mon man, this is the only thing that happens around the Maw nowadays, So I'd rather have a lot of "Will it run?" threads then nothing at all. :)

Slaying noobs since 2007.

Talk about your daily dose of computer help. p.s. We need alittle more than that, like your graphics card, and that kind of info. Then you will get a respectable answer.
P.P.S. How 'bout you just post your "new" computers specs.

Is it so hard to understand the Min Sys Req for Vista and make an educated guess?

Windows Vista Premium Requirements:
Processor: 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
System memory: 1 GB
Graphics processor: Windows Aero Capable, WDDM driver, Pixel Shader 2.0, 32 bits per pixel (Intel, ATI, NVIDIA, S3, Via)
Graphics memory: 128 MB
Hard drive space: 40 GB
Hard drive free space: 15 GB
Optical Drive: DVD-ROM

These are the requirements for Vista Premium. To get a general idea of what you'll need to run H2V just double the processor speed, the system memory, and the GPU memory. If you do that, you should be able to run H2V not bad. Looking around I haven't seen any H2V requirements yet. But it's always a good idea to exceed the recommended requirements. Because even if you meet them, the game might not run as well with all the bells and whistles.

I don't think it can... I mean both the specs you just listed (cpu and ram) are pretty low, especially for H2V...
What's your GPU?

I will tell you for a FACT that you will not be able to run vista smoothly. And you will NOT be able to run H2V. Unless you buy a up to date computer, Your not playing H2V. Best bet buy a new computer or just get a 360.
